We went from a tent as cub scouting ended to a Prevost as first go round for RVing….Has been a steep learning curve but one we have enjoyed. Whether rallies, campgrounds or tailgating, we have enjoyed meeting new friends along the way. We watched Tommy and Cli for years and thought this would be fun!! On our second Prevost and couldn’t be happier….

Safe travels and one day, hope to make our first Prevost Community No Rally Rally!!

    BA,

We have the same system, turn that yellow valve and you merge Prevost aux air with the Marathon side. I like the way Marathon does it. I don’t care if I have a small Prevost aux air leak, it’s isolated and has no effect on the Marathon side as long as the yellow valve is closed. My Prevost aux air leaks down in a couple days, but I don’t need it for anything until it’s time to go again.

This would be a whole lot easier under the awning….

I only raise tag when turning very tight on hard surface. I do not wait for the drive to recover to ride height. It doesn’t sag enough to worry while turning slow. Makes those 365’s much easier to steer, shortens the turning radius, and like Tom says, makes you feel better, not scrubbing the tag tires as much.

Where else can you get your bus serviced and pasture for your horse. That along with the free meals complimentary coach detailing is worth the trip. I think a couple sheep would look really good, you know how fond those Tennessee boy’s are of their sheep.

The flange on the end of the axle? Other than leaking around the face of the hub I am not able to imagine that making a hub seal leak?

    Diane,

I was looking at converters the other day and I’m a little confused. Is a Vantare a Featherlite?

For instance, we have a Liberty (make) Elegant Lady (model)…. so, is Vantare the ‘model’ and Featherlite the ‘make’?

Or, are they two separte companies? Just thought I would ask since you owned one.

    Safe travels,

    Hi Gary,

…. What kind of Sat TV service do you want.

Personally, I do not see any good use for in-motion. Unless, you have half a dozen teenagers in the back of the bus.

Personally, I do want HD (Hi-Definition) for just about everything I do watch.

The difference between SD and HD is like day and night.

The next question is whether you have Sat TV at home and, in that case, who is your provider.

I am assuming that you do have Smart TV’s in your bus.

In any event, we went with Dish because they do have the month to month service in HD. We pay something like $80 for their USA 120 channels service. If we watch, it is usually one of two channels and all else is pay per view movies.

All in all, we are happy with the service.

    Cheers,

    Ronald

Ok, I will try to provide more information.

    Per my owners manual information:

    1. Prevost 12V/300 AMP 50 DN alternator. This alternator appears to be wired directly to the coach inverter system.

    2. Additional 24V/75 AMP alternator for charging the coach engine batteries.

    3. The gage that is not reading voltage is the far left overhead voltage gage, that I believe should read coach voltage (being a 12v gage I am not sure on this though). The generator gage does read correctly when the generator is running.

Last night I checked voltage on the 12V/300A alteranator and it showed 12.67V. The 24V/75A alternator showed zero. Also, the 24V lead going to the Vanner electrical monitor also showed zero, while the 12v lead did read 12.6V. I don’t know if this tells me anything, since the alternator may have to be excited in order to produce voltage.

Also, the voltage regulator led lights were blinking. The red light stayed on 3 sec, off for 1 sec. According to the literatature, this error indicated “Bat. Volts disconnected”. The green led light on 3sec, off 3sec. This indicates “On/Off inputs, Off”.

I am thinking that I have a definite chasis charging issue, possibly the alternator or regulator?

Hope this information helps. Thanks for the help.

I was all ready to sign the papers on a Outlaw until saw a new Liberty H.

The Liberty had a train horn and that’s all I wanted, so we bought the new Liberty.

Ha ha… (just kidding of course).

The true story…. In May of last year (2013) we had started thinking of moving up to a new coach so I started the search looking at Newells and Prevost’s. Since I was in the very early stages learning, I found the Outlaw Prevost and the lower MSRP of an Outlaw did catch my eye seeing them at MHS’s website. They looked good in pictures and the price seemed lower than other converters.

Fast forward to January of 2014, we started looking and comparing AND learning on the PC site. Jon and Tom were instrumental (to me) on going with a Prevost. Meeting with Frank at their show Liberty Coach was the icing on the cake with his vast knowledge of everything electrical/computer/motorized, etc. So, we ordered a Liberty Coach.
