Greg are you up and running??
And Jim, I just figured it out. You have to copy and paste the link into the message area then back drag / highlight it. Then the chainlink icon lights and you get the dropdown menu.

Thanks for bringing up so many good points about risks we’ll need to consider, and liabilities associated with them. Hopefully we won’t have to be chasing deadbeats, but it is important to know who that lucky chaser will be if needed.
The expected ROI will be critical as well. 6.5-10+ years is a significant amount of time. A critical part of determining our ROI is rental rate.
Any suggestions for how to price this? What would you be willing to pay in rent (monthly) for indoor (climate controlled), secure storage with access to power in your unit, along with water and a dump station on site, within 15-20 minutes from your home?
Thanks again for your help!

Corey,
So far you are OK. But Buddy is edging closer.

Jon,
Many things make this forum attractive to me. The mechanical expertise of the members, the decades of Prevost experience to draw on, the willingness of members to help not only on the forum but frequently hands on, the discussion of shared experiences, and many many more. One of those many is the ability to share uncensored information about the providers that service our coaches. We spend thousands of dollars for work to on our coaches. I have been fortunate in that the providers I have used in my time as a coach owner have all done quality work. Prevost Fort Worth, Panterra and Luxury Coach all have my recommendation. Members here warned me off of others. Surely open discussion about the positive and negative of the providers we encounter is a value to us all. The other site has members with the same qualities I admire on PC and have been helpful to me. It really boils down to a simple philosophy; PROFIT vs. OWNERS BEST INTEREST

Also, please remember any help we can offer here can be best described as opinion. If you are asking for help because you need urgent help and post in this section try to provide as much information about your coach as possible so the response can be more specific to your coach.

We did a list of all the loads:
AC’s—————————75———15 each
Battery Charger————-7
Fridge————————-15———Double sided Residential
Lights(all)———————-15——–Can’t even count all the bulbs that were on
TV’s/Surround Sound——18———4 TV’s with amplified Bose Surround Sound
Water Heater(elec.)———12———Residential electric water heater (25 gal)
AUX. Compressor————5
Misc. Loads——————–10——–Chargers, stove top, etc…..
TOTAL————————–157 AMPS and that is probably the min.
Essentially I had everything on in the coach. I think the gen will do the job but not at that level. My wife had both electric burners boiling corn and beans. So, I think I did push it to the limit. I am still trying to figure out how the inverter works in conjunction with the system. Our previous systems were kind of automatic or less owner managed.
I really hope I didn’t burn anything up. Everything is working great now and the RV tech that came out was great. He really taught me a ton on this process. The only warning I have on is the fan on my inverter but all other read out’s are functioning fine.

You are probably right Jon.Its a new day here and the decision is to continue along and see how things go. If we have a problem we will head to prevost and if not we will continue along our planned route. Thanks for the pep talk Jon.

Thank you for your help.We will call first thing this morning.

Thanks Jeff I appreciate that but my problems seem to be escalating big time now. when we got back from making our regular donations the coach smelled of cooking batteries . I talked to my dear dear friend Tom and we think one or more batteries is toast . they are marked 2010 but tom says they are much much older. Somebody fibbed to me Im not sure what we can do now. I took off one negative cable and let the batteries cool down but other than putting the inverters down as low as possible on the charge setting Im stumped. Tom can get me the batteries but I dont think my back would hold out doing that and I think Ive got more problems with the electrical stuff. gonna keep checking the batteries tonight and see where we are in the morning. Gee arent fathers days fun ?

Tuga & Karen, but they’re out of the bus business, so not sure anymore.
-
Ya hear that Nancy? Tell Tom to go out and check the slide pins to see if that is why he had the glitch.

To the best of my knowledge the tongue weight limit is 1500 lbs. at a distance specified on the plate from the bumper. Usually the distance is 6 or 8″

If you cruise through the site listed above, you will quickly see that parts common to our coaches are available, ranging from complete engines, generators, AquaHot units, wheels, inverters, etc.
If you ding a bay door or a rub rail you might find what you need here, or maybe you lost a hub cap. Can’t get hardware for a window? Or maybe you just want some spares.

Gary,
That route would work. It is actually easier from a driving point of view to take I-40 west to 129 south. Follow 129 and it merges with 411. Then as you get close to Vonore 411 crosses a portion of the lake. At the far side of the lake make the first right.
