Ok so you will hear it first. Burt Reynolds will be joining
us at the Fall AutoFest November 13th and 14th! The
contract was just signed and the press release is being written now. I will
post it as soon as it is finished. In the Spring Carlisle Auctions sold a
Bandit Trans Am formerly owned by Mr. Reynolds for nearly $200,000. It’s
amazing how much excitement still circles around a movie that is almost 40
years old. Speaking of movies, Burt himself will be introducing our Saturday
night movie. It will be Smokey and the Bandit of course and how cool will it be
to watch it with the man himself.

I know that we have already mentioned the duPont Registry joining
us as well with the Cars and Coffee. I just want to say that I cannot wait for
this element of the event to take place. It is going to be amazing to have that
caliber of cars at our event. The folks at duPont are honestly going overboard
with the promotion of this event for both November and February. The excitement
is already huge and will just be continuing to build. Tim and I will be
attending the duPont Registry Cars and Coffee early on Saturday October, 17thin St Petersburg, FL. We will be leaving early to get back to Lakeland for the
Heacock Insurance Lake Mirror event. If you have not been, this is another must
see event. In addition to all of the cars, seeing vintage wooden boats on the
lake is spectacular. If any of you are in the area please reach out and join us
for either or both of these events. Remember you can stay at the Sun n Fun
facility anytime for $350 per night plus tax.

I would also like to thank everyone for the amazing support.
Tim and I have both signed up several more coaches already this week. Please remember
that if you are planning to attend please sign up. I would much rather have you
cancel and give a refund than to not have properly planned for your arrival.

I will post the official press releases for both of these
    activities soon.

    Happy Motoring

    Hello Jon,

I appreaciate your thoughts and suggestions but I although I heartily agree with the idea of throwing away all the EGR stuff I find it hard to make such a call at this point. We had 100K+ miles of great touring without any problems, now with a practically new engine I feel I am one step closer to getting the riddle solved. All the suggestions on these posts will be discussed with the next Detroilt Diesel expert I talk to. Of course this is a sarcastic comment regarding the DD experts.

    Ken,

I have one one of those short 20 ton jacks I use at home to get under the front end and good point about carrying it in the bus.

    Dorel,

I havent seen that before. I will go down and check my bumper but it appears the design has changed on mine. I Don’t think it has the step down toward the rear.

I sure wish you guys could join us. Funny that you are going to Daytona and I completely understand. A few of my friends are running and I would love to bring one of my Quattros. This event is always on our AutoFest event and I have not been able to attend. Maybe someday. Be safe and I’m sure we will see you at Parliament in January if not before then.

We were questioned about the sites and here is the good news.

All coaches will be on blacktop in close proximity to all activities. All coaches will have 50 amp service. We will not have water at the sites but it is available and a “honey wagon” will be available to empty holding tanks.

    +1 to what Colt said!!

I didn’t type in all caps because I didn’t particularly want to irritate anyone just now, although Karen says I irritate her a whole lot sometimes… My halo does get tilted occasionally. 😉

If you have a manual ZipDee main awning, it may have to be tightened every so often. Fairly easy to do, and you can tell when it is needed when it does not roll up itself the last 3 feet or so.

My rig a 1991XL had Michelins 315’s all around when I bought it. I started to replace them and based on conversion with NWBusNuts members they said that the Michelins showed surface cracking faster than other brands. So I turned to Les Schwab and bought 315’s for the front. My next new tires were again 315’s and I put them on the front and moved the first set of 315’s to the tags. I later bought all new drives and went with four 12’s based on price. I b ought Toyo’s and my only complaint with then would be the smell, they do have a funny smell that doesn’t go away.

Jon is once again, correct. This is a serious issue, too many instances of increase in policy payments, and that expense is usually not justified. Everything is getting way too expensive.

Things have clearly run amuck in this country.

When I was a mere lad, my momma would send me down to a corner store with $1 and I’d come back with 5 potatoes, 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of milk, a hunk of cheeze, a box of tea and 6 eggs.

You cannot do that now, too many **!*&<@!)?(*%#) security cameras!
