Maybe true Andy… Probably true, and I for one am no fan! This old world just keeps spinning around and we have all seen some incredible new developments in our time. The iPhone I’m using for this post is one of them.

But all this stuff I’m not sure is one of them. Learning to drive, getting a license, filling the tank and yes learning to change a tire are, let’s say, rights of passage! But this sitting in the car reading a paperback by Jules Verne’s, slopping down a shake, nibbling on fries and taking copious bites of a Big Mac, all while going 70 miles an hour in my driverless car. To that I say nuts!

I use to own a seafood company in Tampa and met many drivers of 18 wheelers. To the person they were great people who would help and tell some of the greatest stories about their time on the road. Now we’re talking about putting them out of business, closing the restaurants where they eat and robbing them of their livelihoods and that of their family’s. Techno freaks (of which I’m one) applaud this grand technology and I get it. But I for one would like to cast my vote as a naysayer… Just because it’s available doesn’t mean it’s good or right, or what we should do!

We are all going to have to face the technology curve in many different areas and I hope there are people and companies who will take a look and say “No I don’t think so”! I wonder if a driverless 18 wheeler will answer me on a CB and tell me the next exit where I can get help or a good restaurant he likes? I think not. And for those who don’t know, truckers know where the good food is.

Sorry for the rant. I still drive a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer. Why you ask? Because it’s always taken me where I’ve wanted to go in comfort. And guess what… Without even a touchscreen panel! The newest and the greatest, the brightest and the shiniest ain’t necessary the best direction to take!

The Indio area is notorius for overlength ticketing. I have received one ticket there on I10 (he did not make me drop the trailer) and a warning on the 101 somewhere on the central coast. I’ve also heard of issues on the Grapevine. I do not drive over 59 mph in an effort to try to avoid attention.

Lest you become overly alarmed, I have quite a few tow miles in Ca over many years. I do, however, avoid the Indio area.

The latter probably is the case. They’re hoping for the “ oooh, look, pretty, I buy” kinda buyer. With very little effort at some seams, the whole panel edge”boinged” in and out, especially pulling slightly out. The belt line was literally falling off. So, when our offer was rejected, we’ve moved on. Chris pointed out that we need not avoid “H”’s with roof air and girards since our new building has 16 ft doors. Hmm.

Les, You know just like the rest of us that dues is never really forgiven. That’s Fake News if I ever heard it! Please use discretion here Les, you know how Jon and Tom can be over dues and it’s never pretty!

Sometimes you can just open the valve and close it, but you run the risk of a worse leak. I’m always reluctant to remove and replace because they are so tight it’s possible to damage the heater by removing. Years ago I did one and cracked the female threaded casing.

One would think that Magna Shade would be an advertiser on this site due to all of the free advertising we give and the number of members that buy from them. With 3,500 members and growing that is a lot of potential sales.

i just installed them on our 07 Liberty. Getting the three upper magnets each side inside at the top was impossible without removing a great deal of things. I would have had to have them installed professionally at considerable expense and the if you break a windshield you get to do it again. The external magnets are all black and quite thin so not really obtrusive. Those rare earth magnets are pretty amazing. Nice product!

This is going to be a very good seminar and we will announce the entire agenda as soon as we can finalize the details. If you are a relatively new owner, if you are contemplating ownership, or if you are a long time owner and want to increase your understanding of your coach this is the place to be.

It is a balmy 13 here right now. We have almost no snow. Jon probably got as much as we have, but I am sure his is melted by now….

Only another 4 or 5 months and we will take the bus out of the garage….should be above freezing then.

Look on the PC Map for those places visited by your fellow members knowing the stop will be good.

Thank you for the suggestions, I am going to suggest that I drive to the location, that was a bit scary and it is a union environment, so not sure how that will work. I am getting the contract today from the production company and will be checking with my insurance company!
