I’ve installed the Speaker led lamps and very happy but they will not function as drl’s, even the model with the separate marker light, it’s too dim.

My coach also has driving and fog lamps in the bumper. I’m using the fog lamps as manually operated drl’s at times I feel they have benefit. Wouldn’t be too tough to make them automatic.

Thank You Chuck, more ECC work today, I replaced the 2 cooling fans and the Thermostat. It is a basic attic fan style +/- 20 degrees or something like that. I got the fans from McMaster carr and the new Thermostat from Amazon.

I am far from an expert but based on a sense I get about how the engine feels as it pulls I found in my 8V92 the “sweet spot” was 1800 RPM. Below 1500 the 8V92 just seemed to get lazy, likely related to that engine just not getting enough turbo boost.

On both my 12.7 and 14 Series 60 engines 1500 RPM seemed just right with the right combination of power, wind noise, fuel economy and reduction of downshifts lower RPM would cause.

That RPM in both coaches was 62 MPH.

At around 4 mph per 100 RPM stepping up to 1600 RPM pushes the speed up just enough to make me have to change lanes due to slower traffic often enough my lazy attitude found driving was far more relaxing and easy if almost everyone was passing me. I rarely had to touch the brakes or turn off the cruise control at 1500.

Having said 1500 I know despite what the torque curves show, 1500 is not ideal for hill climbs so in anticipation of a hill that will require a downshift, I drop down to 5th manually, increase my speed, and switch to performance mode so the transmission will hold higher RPM longer on upshifts, and drop a gear sooner on downshifts. I do that so I can spend time in the fast lane passing trucks going slow up the hill.

Hard to find fault with Bernie’s logic, low pressure on 365’s on the tag (under 100 lbs) is a recipe for problems.

You would have to run a new waste line if you have a gray water bypass, as currently that sink drain would be plumbed as a gray line.

It’s very likely that East Tennessee Luxury Coach can get you fixed up but I only base that on the fact that I haven’t seen anything yet that they cannot handle. I am sure others will chime in here. Prevost in FL would also be a good (and expensive) choice. Where are you now?

Good job. Dielectric grease should prevent corrosion going forward

Most of the time it’s the gears that go bad. Flex Steel made the seats, gears were redesigned but they will still make one special order for you. You can remove the motor/ transmission with the seat in (real pain, I did it twI did it twice) so you can bench test the motor w/o the gears attached

    Dan:

That is exactly what happens with mine. If it doesn’t come on the first time I just turn off the lights then back on and it works. Just find it strange that it only happens to the passengers side when both sides have had the Can-bus ballast and light bulb replaced.

    Jon:

I hear what your saying about finding the original installer. I just don’t have any documentation on the light chance out. I do know the bus was in Arizona for it’s first 11 years then in Louisiana for the next 6 years.

    STOP using the diesel burner.

Black smoke from Aqua Hot Webasto burner is more fuel than air to burn it. It is extra sooty and will already need need a good cleaning. Do NOT continue to operate the burner till it is serviced. Using the electric element is fine.

During burner service, check for a combustion air leak. This could be the burner has become loose in its mounts, one or more of the grommets for the fuel lines and wires going into the burner are out of place. Or, the bearings are needing to be replaced and are slowing the speed of the motor down. The motor needs replacing. A poor connection bringing power into the burner or a poor ground for the burner needs addressing.

A good burner tech can sort this out just fine. I did one yesterday and found the low rpm was from poor voltage. Owner had his coach plugged in but failed to turn his inverter/charger to ON. Once that was online, it went to bulk charge at 104 amps and the voltage went to 13.4. Burner loved it.

If your tech is not familiar with a Webasto in an Aqua Hot, contact me and I can share the info he might need to proceed. The only part you will need is a new Danfoss 0.35, 60 deg, nozzle. If you do not have one, parts.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com can ship you two or more. That way you will have a spare.

    All the best.

Chuck;thanks for comeback! I had new mounts about 10,000 mile ago. The drive shaft was my error several years ago. you can’t even tell my engine is running in bus. I don’t have any vibration. 329,000 miles. Watching for any signs at this point. hopeing 500,000 before bull gear then who knows. Keep her oiled any maintance she will treat you good.
