  • No power to my thermostat

Posted by Tony on November 29, 2021 at 2:43 pm

My Vantare’s thermostat controls the bus heat and the central air. I am getting NO power to the thermostat this means no heat control though I am getting full heat no control from the Aqua hot and no central air out of the RVAC. Any body have any idea what the problem may be??? I have checked fuses and breakers

I don’t know about that system, But I have DometicAC’s and a 5 button Dometicthermostat. Thermostat gets it’s 12v power from the communication cable (Phone cable) at the back side, and mine goes to #1 AC to circuit board then it daises to #2 then#3. But anyways after years of corrosion you can loose power or communication. Pull the plug out of thermostat a couple of times and at AC and see if that helps. Also AC unit gets 120v to run the AC and it also gets 12v to run it’s controls (thermostat)

    Tony:

Not sure about this, but I think there is a fuse on the control board in the basement unit that provides power to the thermostat.

On my bus the power to the thermostats come thru the telephone cable from the Control Board on the AC unit.
