If you put some chrome and stainless on the front of that Greyhound it wouldn’t cost so much buddy.

We are impatiently waiting to get to Stuart on the 28th to start our journey with our new bus. Speaking of waiting, we’re still waiting at Lazydays for one last thing. They finallly came to our coach today to troubleshoot an electrical issue. I had already found the issue, but they have to do there due dilligence to get it authorized by the Manufacturer. I’ve also done my best to get George to follow me into the Prevost world. Looks like my wife and I are going in alone. At least we have all of you.
Being new to this website, we were wondering about the fuel and other discounts. How do these work? Do we get a card or something? The fuel discount will come in handy.
Anything we absolutely need to see while we are in the Stuart area?

Ok …… I contacted Kohler today and they passed me on to Loftin Equipment Company Houston Texas (281) 310-6858. My first opinion of them is that they are the nuts !!! I called for Service and Parts manual for my Kohler 20kw generator Model 20EORZ and Merced in parts ask for my email !!! in 2 minutes and no cost I have a full service and parts manual. It has a great flowchart to follow and in 10 minutes I believe I have found out whats shuting my gen down. K4 relay which takes a replacement circut board. So I call back to Loftin and ask for parts and a very nice lady in parts answers …… as I was reading the number in the manual she finishes the number for me !!! she is a very seasoned parts assistance apparently 🙂 so I should have it by 10:00 in the morning and we will see. I will give you the results. Thanks again guys for all the help getting to this point !!!
Mark
ps ….. tell me how to do it and I will share the parts and service manuals with the everyone that may need them.

I think what really makes Dave and Jill’s project an excellent choice is the base for their project was a coach they bought new. They knew the coach, were comfortable with its service history and it became the perfect platform for the updating.
As an alternative to a new coach anyone can do what Dave and Jill did. Even if the coach that becomes the basis is poorly maintained if it is purchased at the right price to compensate for a new engine, new transmission, etc. it can become a “new” coach again.

I don’t know how many rallies I have been to. They have ranged from at least 200 coaches at Prevost Prouds pre-FMCA rallies to those with only a handful of coaches. There have been highly structured rallies, and there have been rallies with no schedule or agenda. I have been to several rallies with homebuilt coaches, and some rallies where we had the oldest coach.
I have participated in managing all or parts of a dozen rallies or so.
Rallies are important. Forums are an excellent source of information and creating friendships, but nothing takes the place of seeing people face to face, exchanging ideas, attending seminars, and making new friends.
But they are difficult to put together. When a rally is conceived whoever is putting it on needs early, solid committments from those attending. Those numbers drive the rally and it is what everything is to spring from. If there are a large number of signups all activities are geared to that number. We reserve RV park sites, we invite dealers and converters based on the numbers, we encourage others to present seminars based on the numbers, and we pay for off site activities based on the numbers.
Then we work behind the scenes to coordinate the schedule, select the activities to try to please a broad spectrum of interests, we make constant adjustments to the agenda based on avoiding conflicts and availability of people and activities, and then we start collecting money and making sure special requests are covered, ranging from dietary needs to seminar topics.
To be honest setting up a rally is like herding cats. It is fragile until we actually have the money in hand and the numbers are firm. Until then we have to plan based on expressions of interest, and when the real numbers don’t happen we have to see if we can mitigate financial damage, while trying to get those that are showing coaches (for example) to accept the audience will be a lot less than originally planned based on signups.
Then to have another group set out to undermine our efforts it leaves us scratching our head. We stated from the beginning we want to supplement all other groups so we are not going to compete.
In the long run it is best we stop putting on rallies. We are trying to bring all the Prevost clubs and groups together and our rallies may be viewed as competing. This way we are not conflicting with other schedules. We will not have to work as hard to convince other groups to pull together to work towards our original objective of at least one very large rally per year with all the support we would ever need. And if we can continue to put together the numbers we will work on developing more programs to benefit PC members.

My inverter bay never exceeded 105 last year during the hotest part of the summer including out west. I keep a remote temp sender in the inverter bay. I’m going to add one to the battery bay just to see how hot they get.

Ouch! I actually like doing the polishing and for $3K I will enjoy it even more. I’m more curious about product suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks for the Mothers tip in the thread.

Well, I have to say when the owner of the company is there to explain why they do something one way or the other really does make a difference. But, the owner also has to be a people person which Frank is 100%. What a treat to meet the person who is in charge of the engineering and can explain everything.
I still have more investigating to do and all of your opinions do not go un-noticed.
Thanks,

In the picture I was waiting on the results of the Rolls-Royce Owner’s Club (RROC) 2004 annual car show, held in conjunction with the Pebble Beach, Monterey week long festivities. 2004 was the centennial for Rolls-Royce and they were the featured marque.
I was fortunate to win the class and additional ribbons and awards showed up shortly after the picture was taken. That car is a 1962 Silver Cloud II
In full disclosure, I have been a judge for the RROC for 12 years, retiring last year. Of course I could not be a judge in 2004 but knowing what the judging team looks for made the four year long restoration more effective.
I currently have a 1950 Silver Wraith under restoration and recently sold a 2000 Silver Seraph – way too modern of a ultra-luxury car for me…
