Dana is the guy pictured above in the Tennessee Volunteers orange shirt talking to Hish. He was doing his due dilligence learning all about Prevost coaches.

We are impatiently waiting to get to Stuart on the 28th to start our journey with our new bus. Speaking of waiting, we’re still waiting at Lazydays for one last thing. They finallly came to our coach today to troubleshoot an electrical issue. I had already found the issue, but they have to do there due dilligence to get it authorized by the Manufacturer. I’ve also done my best to get George to follow me into the Prevost world. Looks like my wife and I are going in alone. At least we have all of you.

Being new to this website, we were wondering about the fuel and other discounts. How do these work? Do we get a card or something? The fuel discount will come in handy.

Anything we absolutely need to see while we are in the Stuart area?

Log in to the PC site. Once logged in the fuel discount buttons will appear. Click on them and follow the way to the application page. You need a Prevost VIN or one I assign to get past the first page.

The application page is on the Profit Tools site. Profit Tools administers the fuel discount program and the access to the discount and the convenience of the program will be two cards that Alicia will send to you. One is for Love’s locations, the second for about 5000 other locations with a 5 cent discount or no discount. The advantage of no discount cards is it still gets you cash price and you can swipe the card, fill and drive away without ever going inside.

There is a thread in the General section that explains the entire program.

Apart from finding a place to eat in Stuart it is likely you will be busy trying to learn your new coach and possibly transferring stuff from your old one. When not being trained by the people in Stuart you will likely be trying to put your new training to work by operating every switch, button and knob on your coach so you know what you don’t know.

Seriously, spend as much time in Stuart at the Liberty / Motor Home Exchange location learning as much as you possibly can about your coach. Use everything it has. Cook in it, use all the ACs, operate all of the audio visual equipment, get to know the Crestron, learn how to operate the slide in normal mode and then how to operate it manually, and generally try to understand not only how stuff works, but what to do when stuff doesn’t work.

Do the same with the Prevost. You are no longer driving a coach in which one manufacturer is responsible for the chassis and the house. Learn where the house and chassis connect and which part is Liberty and which part is Prevost. While each can do some service on the other’s part you are better off to have Prevost service the part they made and Liberty to service the house.
