Dredging up this thread because I also want to remove my old crank up antenna, so I did a search and ended up here. So, what is the proper procedure for removing said antenna? As Joe references, should I make a cover plate out of aluminum and screw it down and seal it around the edge or set it in sealant AND seal around the edge? Or something else?
The newbie questions never end…sorry.

My parents took our young family on an annual summer vacation to the Adirondacks many times in the 1950s. Frontier Town was one of many theme parks in the area. The masked robbers that stopped the train would check passengers for gold teeth. Then when they were caught the robber was put on a huge dunking contraption like a teeter totter and dunked into the lake over and over. His last time dunked he would come up with a fish in his mouth. Shoot outs, bandits falling off the 2nd story of the saloon. As a youth, it was a lot of fun and the memories are still here 60 plus years later.

Contact Nick Hessler. He was the CC electrical genius and has most of them on his laptop. He has helped me many times.

Sorry I don’t have to pump fuel, my smart phone does that for me. I will let you use my fuel card though, the ACH Debit is funded by dues money.
Chad – I love those trunk monkey video’s

“This stops if I turn the engine off”
Does it come back if you turn the switch to run but don’t start the engine?

Chad, as newer coaches with inverters are set up the alternators never directly feed the inverter. All alternator output is used for battery charging, and is regulated by the voltage regulator.
Inverters are used only for house batteries, and when shore or generator power is available the inverters are battery chargers, with shore or generator power merely passing through the inverter to the alternating current circuit breaker panels.
You do need a transfer switch manual or automatic to select the appropriate power source and to isolate any other alternating current power source to avoid cycle issues.

If it was not in neutral, but was in a gear other than the top gear it is possible when being towed the wheels were turning initially, but in a lower gear it is possible the engine was over revved and seized. That would lock things up and the end result is what is shown.
It is hard t make fun of RV owners who have that kind of mishap because it is so easy to omit a vital step when hooking up and end up with bad results.

The prototype of that carburettor is probably sitting in some dead engineer’s safety deposit box.

Thanks Dick. It sat for about 3 weeks, but agree, rather than idle I will take it out for a run this weekend and see if behavior changes.
