I truly believe that we’ll see major advancement towards Lithium Ion technology. The lead acid battery will go away like the tube TV.
We have had no trouble with our LI batteries (3) in two years and 35,000 miles. We are getting close to 300 hours on our Generator.
Within 30 years, I’ll be 88 years old and I think I’ll see a totally electrically powered coach. No Volvo D13, no Allison transmission.
A hydrogen fuel cell generator for charging and powered by Lithium Ion batteries!
The roof will be covered in solar cells, the awnings will have solar cells imbedded in the fabric.
The paint and windows will be impregnated with solar cells….. it’s the wave of the future!
Liberty Coach will have one and it will be called the ‘Liberty Coach Elegant Lady, the Jane Jetson Edition’. :o)

Tim,
On my Marathon XLII, the panel that has the dump switches and water valves on it hinges from the top. There is a latch hidden behind the center bottom edge of the panel. Your H3 may not be the same?

Mr. Mark, just a thought about your expensive rooftop equipment… when we brought our coach home last February, the previous owner had left the TVs and rooftop dish but took the receivers for himself. We contacted DirecTV and they sent out a couple of new receivers along with a technician to get it all set up. Well, he scratched his head and just didn’t know what to do about communicating with the rooftop dish so we sent him away. We called Winegard, the dish manufacturer, and they cheerfully and painstakingly walked us through the setup of the dish and receiver.
We still call DirecTV when there’s a reception problem, but that initial setup assistance came from Winegard. Just mentioning it in case it helps.

Andy,
Based on your research can the existing inverters/chargers be used with the new li batteries or does that stuff need to be updated as well. Last I heard it wasn’t as simple as just dropping in new batteries but that was a while back.

I have calmed down a lot now that I am home. I did errands today on the local city streets, stayed completely off the interstate and never once felt compelled to utter a nasty word or use my finger for a signal to someone.
Tomorrow we are having lunch with some PC friends and again will avoid the interstate so I again anticipate a pleasant drive. I am no longer thinking about doing things that would be viewed as felonious.
