I am in need of a new fan, blades with big chucks out of it. I was wondering if this had something to do with a loose fan belt. No idea how this happened and I see no other signs of damage. It’s a good thing these fans pull air and not push air thru the radiator.

ISC is in my area and I’ve used them on my all electric SOB coach. They are excellent and did a great job in tracking down what caused the problem with one of my two 2,800 watt Magnum inverters. It turned out to be a loose connection on a 300 amp fuse box that was buried in the engine compartment. It only showed up under load. Now that the cause is corrected, the repairs they did on that inverter have it running like new.

They get shipments of inverters in from all over the country and their turnaround time is very reasonable. Since they are near Prevost Nashville, they get a lot of work from them. Their shop is easily accessed from I-65.

    I highly recommend them.

    Jon,

Thanks for the reply. I believe I will purchase R134a and do it myself. Once upon a time I was an ASE Cert. Mech, but moved into the software development field to get rid of the dirty finger nails :). I will need to get the correct adapters for that compressor to fit, and then read up on the Prevost OTR manual on valve position and such so I can charge it.

Being the coach frame was built in 1999 it is in need of some freon, and I dont have the records from the prior owner so have no idea if they ever had it serviced or not.

The fuses are 12v and I have tested them in the past. So I know there is a change some where. Rick

Dental, if you feel you are too slow off the line, get your injectors checked. We had one marginal injector on our 8v92 and it really slowed us down from a standing start and on hills. Changing that injector for a good one made all the difference. As Jon said, slow and smokey at elevation, but otherwise we were okay without any modifications for many years.

Looks like toilet removal is in my immediate future as I cannot see the switch you refer to at all and my head does not fit beside the seat to see what may be behind it. That stinks:) I will call Headhunter Monday if I can’t get it going. Thanks to all for the input.

Gauge on pump shows 60psi. Hoses all look good with no kinks, leaks etc. Some signal is getting through as it does add a pint or so of water to the stool but without the huge gushing outflow of bygone days.

Thanks Ben. That’s why I was looking for the manual. I would throw that charger away given it’s a 12V charger with 2 outputs. Failure of one side, however remote, would only charge half the bank. In my opinion, there’s no reason not to use a 24V intelligent charger.

Thanks Tom, I’ve updated my profile and thanks for the response. I guessed right and the exhaust fan did turn clockwise. New motor installed and working well.

Ladder: I carry 2. A 12-foot telescopic that takes up very little room. FYI, these come in two weight ratings. I recommend the heavier. I also have a 6 foot step ladder.

Infared Thermometer: I have a Fluke. It’s overkill, but was on sale so I couldn’t resist. I recommend one with a laser pointer so you know what you are measuring. Peak Hold or Min/Max hold are features worth having.

Tire Pressure Gauge: I recently bought the Matco Tools DT-4 that has a large digital display. I should have bought one of these long ago.

Emergency Service: I just switched from Good Sam to Coach-Net for no specific reason.

Multimeter: I have two Flukes. I recommend getting one with the ability to read frequency (Hz).
