Buddy, Middle Florida is just like coon-ass country in
Louisiana this time of year only warmer.
It should be shorts and Tee shirt weather. However, you being a Yankee from way up North
in Monroe, you might want to bring one pair of Big Boy britches and a long
sleeve shirt in the unlikely event we have a cold front go through that drops
the early morning temperature all the way down to 57 degrees. .
If that happens you can change back to your
shorts about 9 am when it gets back to 70+.
    See you there.

    Marius,

At the very least you should communicate with owners of all 8V92 Country Coach conversions. The chassis is less important because that is Prevost and you can get support, but owners of that vintage range are likely going to have similar equipment and devices and can help you with advice and information, even if they do not have the documentation. Will, who is Express Bus is an owner that comes immediately to mind, but I am sure there are others.

What about the smell from diesel heating systems if it gets cold at night?

If all the valves are open when u start the coach the webasto light will come on the dash if all you want is heat when you turn on the dash control for heat , on mine you do not have to turn on the webasto for that feature to work it does it automatically, and the tell tale light will blink if there is something wrong with the webasto

Mike, I agree with Peter about trying an adjustment before you waste a whole lot of time and money with a new seal.

I have an ultrasonic leak detector which also includes a noise generator. If I had wind noise I would place the noise generator on the passenger seat and from the outside go around the entry door with the leak detector. The areas where the seal is not making good contact will be revealed by the increase in the detector noise level so doing an adjustment is not a trial and error effort.

If you are coming to Lakeland, the seminar or Oysterfest I will let you use them so you can isolate the problem.

To All: The key detail is that I am reding PC posts on my iPAD only. Just as I am doing right now.

To Jon: Thanks for your advice but Playboy stopped showing nudity in their magazine a couple of months ago. So what am I to do? At my age, I do prefer Prevost porn anyways … (liar, liar, pants on fire …) Ha ha.

In general: and this is why I posted my question, it seems most other sites come up just fine.

    Cheers,

    Ronald

my door is a bit noisier than I want. (Air noise when driving)

are the seals available at Prevost ? Or is everyone buying them elsewhere?

    thanks everyone!

    Ron,

I am not a computer expert, but when my computer failed to connect to the internet last week when I was on the road I found some information that may explain a lot of stuff.

We ruled out the WiFi as the issue. The computer was completely checked and the first thought was the hard drive, then the operating system, and then it was searched for viruses and malware. Everything was good. No issues with the hard drive, no viruses, the operating system was OK, but there were three pieces of malware.

The malware I had was not something to be malicious, but was installed without my knowledge to either send emails to me for products after I did a search on the computer, or to install a tool bar for a site I had used. I don’t remember the third malware, but the issue with connection was related to either Ask.com, a search engine that wanted me to install a tool bar, or Xfinity (Comcast) my ISP. Both wanted me to install their tool bars which I did not but both were in the background following my searches and activity. One of them had a glitch that caused the inability to connect to the WiFi reliably.

What was eye opening is we all likely have some on our computers and they can not only track us, but apparently can create issues. I now have a program installed that is not only protection against a virus, but it can prevent issues such as I had with the malware. Your computer does not view tool bars as malware, so protection against malware is not an exact science, but the program that was installed to protect my computer will stop those intrusions into my computer from doing anything.

It literally took hours to do an analysis of my hard drive, search for malware or viruses, and check the operating system but I learned this stuff can impact your speeds and how your computer works. I ended up wiping it clean by reformatting, installing the latest operating system and now it is like a new computer.

A word of advice I learned from the computer guys. The worst sites and the most damaging to your computer are porn sites. Some of those sites install malware or viruses that can access your email, email contact list, and play hell with your computer. The message is clear. Stay off them and if needed break out the old Playboy magazines.

For us Brits, it’s a fair trek, but to you big country boys, it’s a bit like popping out to the shops. A ‘mere” 200 miles or so.

If you look at a map of the UK, (ignoring Ireland) we are about half way up on the west coast. Cardiff is on the south coast of the bit that sticks out (Wales) again on the west side.

We belong to fmca since it’s required as part of membership to Marathon Coach Club. I believe PC full program is better.

The only thing missing are customers with pockets full of Benjamins.

Those buying one of the coaches for sale, pay attention. You will need batteries and there are none that have the track record of the Lifelines, and that new coach purchase is going to need maintenance and repairs, and ETLC has made a lot of people very happy.

Just keep those two guys that are supposed to be in those booths honest. Make them work for your money.

I cannot think of a scenario where a dragging brake is going to thaw frozen water that might have contributed to a dragging brake.

However if the brakes were not Knorr-Bremse I can easily imagine almost frozen excess grease in the slack adjuster pivot that has created a hydraulic lock for releasing a caliper being the cause. What style brakes Gerald, and if the Meritor / Rockwell type the problem was likely caused by excess greasing in combination with the cold.
