    Howdy from out west. I love to see all the names of the past. Asside from collecting cars (38) airstream (6) and now a 1975 MCI MC-5b from Yellowstone, Chris and I are well, as best we can.
    currently on our 6th bus since 2019. Its a 1999/2001 Featherlite Vogue 45 XLV dbl slide with roof mounted girard and full tile floor

    Drive axle hub nut size is 4″. I haven’t had to remove steer or tag yet so not sure on those.

    Either way simple solution would be to mount Elon’s dish inside a King Dome cover and paint it to look like R2D2

    Dick, Glad you are up and running, but there is no reason for him to connect his laptop, I would have stopped him right there. Have of having the battery in hand, power the system down, pull the Card, remove the old battery, plug in the new Battery, Place the card back, power everything up. That is all it takes. I hope you got him to give you a copy of your program while he was connected?

    I get 5g. Average is about 45 meg down and 30 meg up. Worked all the way to Seattle from Florida for streaming except at one Indian type campground at a casino in Arizona.

    We replaced our radiator a few years ago after discovering a “rotted” area in the lower corner which was ready to fail. Our quote for a recor was about $1000 less than a new one from Prevost. They had one in NJ and reduced the price 10% just for asking. That made it an easy decision and we are glad we went with new. During the removal almost all of the mounting bolts snapped off. Whoever does it is going to need a forklift or tractor with a loader. IMPORTANT…put new thermostats in when changing out the radiator. You’ll be glad you did!

    NAPA could be different but I have never seen a battery labeled by week and year but only by month and year. Tires are labeled week and year but confused by the above post. My guess is that these are Dec. 2021 batteries.

    That’s what happened to me last week and thank goodness for Rain-Ex. I need to replace mine. I have a 2001 XLII. can this be done from the outside ?

    Jim,

    First, Prevost is slowly winding down Elgin and the parts folks you normally would speak to are being located at service centers around the country. For example Charlie and his wife who I think are the best are now located in Nashville.

    I expect not all experienced parts folks would be able to relocate from the Chicago area so whoever you get on the phone could be a new hire.

    The reason for relocating parts folks is they now have the opportunity to walk into the shop and get information needed from the folks who actually service the coaches, and so when you order a widget, they can go into the shop to see the widget on a bus being serviced.

    Regardless of who you dealt with you should never have to pay for someone’s error. Start with the folks on the parts line, and work your way up the food chain to make their managers know there is a problem. Go all the way to Ron Beverly if needed.

    Prevost cannot relate to the Vantare/Featherlite number, but your chassis number is one they should have in their system so you should never have a wrong part.
