I’m slightly overlength when towing my Jeep GC. I’ve dragged that car all over California, including many trips on I-10 to MCCC in Indio, without any issue. I’ve never heard of anyone towing any car being stopped, ticketed or warned for length. That seems only to happen with big trailers, and I suspect speed or aggressive driving may be the real reason for the stop. Towing a car marks you as a motorhome as opposed to an entertainer or racing team. It’s my unscientific opinion that those vehicles are more likely to be stopped just because the officer is curious about who’s on board. Unless you plan to tow a stretched limo or a full sized 4 door longbed pickup, you will probably be fine. As for liability, as long as you have the correct license and the legally required supplemental braking system and lights, you should also be fine. Be aware that many states require a special license to drive a motorhome over 40 feet long. California requires at least a class B non-commercial license for anything over 40′. I’ve never heard of that law being enforced, but in terms of avoiding potential liabiltiy and preserving insurance coverage, I strongly suggest compliance.

you know what I just thought about is how it would affect your new car. With all the computer stuff on it having to re power it everytime might affect it. hmmm?

I found that the turbo oil return was clamped wrong on mine and caused a leak,I would check that area first before I rebuilt.

If we all like the same thing things would be pretty boring and we wouldn’t heave endless debates about features and conversions.
Even if we found the perfect coach, we would have to recognize it might meet our idea of perfection, but it would not be perfect to the next person because that person’s idea of perfection will be different.
One thing we learned early on in our ownership of a Prevost is waaay too much emphasis is placed on colors or decor. We lucked out on our first coach because we liked it because of its appearance and decor. After we had it for a while we realized it was the systems and how they were set up was really why we liked the coach. The marketplace is loaded with really nice looking coaches, but most of them are not for us because they do not have the systems set up the way we have learned we want them.
And even if we get a coach that has most of what we want, we still cannot get all we want. We have come real close, but we still have a wish list we won’t be able to fill. It does help that we like our coach’s colors and decor. Some are not for us, but we still place the higher priority in getting systems and features we want before we worry about the color of the coach.

My cruise air works great. We leave Florida every June and travel to California for the summer taking 10 all the way. Have had no problems going through Texas, Arizona, etc where temps are 100 plus. Matter of fact wife will normally put a sweater on after a while because she gets cold.
Please keep in mind the only area we cool is the front seat area. We have no need to drop temp to where you could hang meat in the bedroom while traveling. My coach does have a fixed tv over the drivers area as opposed to a swing down tv. I had the swing down tv on other H’s and found I really fried in the cockpit area due to extra expanse of windshield. Further it was one more thing to go wrong. Much prefer the fixed tv.

I would replace with dometic penguin and up grade the touch pads , you have to do that any ways to bad you did not ask a month ago I had three new ones I could have shipped them to you, sorry!!!!!!

Serious question and not intended to cast any criticism on you. We have discussed the bulk of the contents of this thread over the years. The serious nature of tire pressures makes it a very important topic, and tire pressures are at best a guess unless the coach is weighed on each axle.
You have been around a long time. Where have we missed the boat in reaching members that need information like this imprinted in their brain? There are certain topics and pieces of information that are so important that every owner, regardless of skill level, mechanical understanding, or experience needs to know and apply to their coach. How can we grab everyone’s attention when we are discussing these items, especially those that have a profound impact on safety. We are not serving our members if these critical topics are not reaching them.
What do you do on your web site to make the critical posts and topics get to everyone?

Tom, my bus has them but on one side, the SS hose has worn a place on the wheel. Never had them before on busses or motorhomes, in a past business, I had 10-12 tandem axle trucks and drilling rigs, none had these equalizers and just did not have any tire problems. Seriously thinking about taking these off.

Elegant Lady coaches have polished copper pipes on the holding tank.
They are coated with a clear finish and don’t require much maintenance unless the finish starts to fail. If the clear finish does fail dark spots will start shoing up on the copper. Then the only solution is to strip the finish (I use lacquer thinner) and repolish the pipe.
Nobody tells us Liberty owners how hard it is to maintain our image of rich snobs with a lot of bling.

The folks that own this coach are fellow dog show people. We are considering getting a picture of one of our dogs done up on a shade.
