I’m like Boater Al, I’ll use my ‘4 ways’ to say thank you.

All you guys driving SOBs (some other brand) may think it is a crisis if we cannot jump start the engine from the house batteries in our fine Liberty Coaches..
Here’s the reason. We believe in maintenance. We replace batteries before they puke. On the other hand you drivers of SOBs might just as well throw away all your chassis batteries because I noticed once you all realize you can start the bus from the house batteries you just leave the old dead chassis batteries in place rather than trying to maintain the coach.
Your turn.

Yes and you lose the magnets, a feature I really liked. The new refrigerators have a lower profile under the front grill and there is no room for the magnet assembly. I may try to figure something out when I get back home in the spring, but for now I’m using a large piece of velcro on top of the doors when traveling, you don’t see it and it does the job. My Liberty had cabinet latches on the bottom of the doors to help keep them closed, so that’s an option, but the latches makes the doors a little harder to open.

Be careful ordering online. There are at least two different sizes from what I could ascertain. They are not expensive, so don’t hesitate to buy a variety if they list more than one size. If you’re close to a Home Depot or a Rockler or another store that might have that, you can buy in person.

Great looking Diane. Where is the plate frame from ?

Thanks, Tom. I had planned to replace the AquaHot this year but I am going to wait a bit. Unfortunately the old AH may not last. The boiler itself is leaking and has been for several months now. I may install one of those for a temporary solution. I love the interior heat and bay heat from the AH so I do not want to eliminate it forever.

Bumping this back up guys as I am running through some cold temps and we are getting into winter time.
RIght now I have to have the Dash HVAC set to FUL on the temp setting to get the heat light indicator and get hot air, and it is plenty hot without using the H20 circ button.
However, when you back off the temp setting to ANYTHING below FUL, 85, 84, 78 etc etc you get NO heat and no heat light, just ambient air.
This can’t be right, is there no blending, just either full on hot, which cooks the dash, or freezing feet.
GRRRR….This Prevost dash hvac is giving me the same feelings of rage as the XL2 ford headlamps….what were they thinking?

I have a much greater comfort level with the complexity because given some time it is likely if I cannot figure out stuff a real mechanic or technican can.
Where I get real uncomfortable is when obsolesence rears its ugly head and all of a sudden I cannot get a touch screen or other device that makes the system function.
I can still recreate a 1950 Ford from parts readily available even though I haven’t seen a 1950 Ford on the road in years other than mine. But I cannot buy DDEC I.

Thanks Jon. I am looking for a good mechanic (I think I found a good Doctor) and I will be at Arrow Bus Lines tomorrow. The service mgr said that they had time to look at it and do any repairss necessary. I took it to the Detroit Diesel folks at Interstate Power Systems and they quoted me about $17500 to replace the water pump. Then one of the mechanics said I could try stop leak.

nobody is using PC Maps anyway. Time is better spent on joining the Brady knows everything board to compare notes.

Exciting! The best part is that Bob knows every nut and bolt on the bus and he can be counted on to provide good advice.

This works perfectly for us and the chairs fold up for easy storage. We have had dinettes and tables with chairs and like this far better !

Charles it turned out to be card 20. Pulling the fuse saved the day (night). Thanks. I got behind the board tonight and looked it over and saw nothing unusual but the toggle switch seemed to have no effect.

You don’t often see carpet in any of the converters new buses except for occasionally in the bedroom. Still it’s a matter of choice. If carpet is what you want, then go with carpet. It is definately a cheaper option than going with the wood floors and will feel good under your feet. It’s just more troublesome to keep clean, especially in our coaches when we are often parked in places where it is hard not to track stuff in.
As far as the 2 sofa versus 1 sofa and chairs, I don’t know if there is a consensus or not but I do know that if you take it to the right person you can get pretty much any change made and have it look like it rolled out of the factory that way.
Jeff’s place in Tennessee where I took ours has an excellent reputation for being able to do top quality work that is at the same level as the original converter.
