I am sure the devices to assist in the event of a blowout are going to be a lot better than nothing.
But there will never be a substitute for a trained driver who actually takes driving the coach safely as a serious obligation. Drive at safe speeds, never ever move the coach unless the tire pressures are correct for the weight carried. Always inspect the tires prior to driving, including an inspection for road hazard damage or items stuck in the tire.
And make certain the tires are of a safe age and are not exhibiting cracks or other signs of imminent failure. If a tire has been run at low pressure consider it junk.
Two hands on the wheel, cell phone turned off and stuck in a bedroom drawer, eyes on the road, and always be aware of the correct procedure to respond to a tire failure.

I can count on the fingers of one hand the occasions I needed to raise the tag for a sharp turn. Raising the tag will reduce the turn radius slightly, but over time your eyes learn what turns you can make and what you have to do to make them so raising the tag is rarely used.
Having said that however there still remains an unresolved issue with 365 tires and tearing at the decoupling groove. This is an instance when tight, low speed turns need to have the tag lifted to minimize the side forces on the tires when the steering wheel is at its left or right extreme. Lifting the tag may not be the only way to prevent tire damage, and it may not prevent tire damage at all, but it has been strongly suggested as something to do on coaches with 365 tires.
My 97 coach had the tag lifted once in my 8 1/2 years of ownership and it had a solid axle which has a greater turn radius and I still managed almost 100% of my turns. The turn I shut down a 4 lane Florida highway doesn’t count because there were no photos.

I do not believe that anyone knows why some coaches had de-lam issues, and why others had none. But I do know for certain anyone contemplating and XLII or X3 would be prudent if they made certain any purchase was subject to an inspection by Prevost.
The issue was not exclusive to any specific model years, whether the coach had slides or not, or anything else that would point to a pattern or potential cause.

On the other hand, I have had worse sidewall checking with aging Michelins than with any other tire we have used. I use nothing but wonder if that’s really the best course of action.

We now have seen this on several coaches and I have a couple of concerns. The first is as a braking issue its importance is significant and yet I haven’t seen any notices or service bulletins or recalls to make us aware of the issue, its cause or how to inspect for it.
I am also concerned because this cannot be exclusive to Prevost. And yet with all the trucks, commercial seated buses, large RVs and other vehicles running similar if not identical brake systems or components we aren’t hearing anything about this except from our members.
Has anyone with this problem contacted Prevost service, with photos and asked for further information. If not, I will because I have a brake pad as shown and will see if Prevost has information.
This is serious.

Our web guy found the problem, TSD had made a change on their form link address yesterday and we didn’t know it. Should be working now, a permanent fix will be worked out on Monday.
Just to be clear, their forms are not interactive, you have to print, complete the forms, scan and send to them via email or by fax. I did it on Wednesday and it was handled immediately and card sent.

I looked into this a few weeks ago and learned that the cost is about $2,000 per tire/rim. And, if you research this on Google, you will find many posts which claim this system does not really work for motorhomes. It is a system developed for the military and their needs are different from ours.
Yes, you could claim it is worth the peace of mind. But then there are cheaper solutions to get peace of mind.
Sell your bus and stay home.
At some point, you have to accept the risks of travelling in a motorhome. Prevost or any other.
Cheers,
Ronald

There aren’t many of us who have the self-confidence in ourselves to call a MAYDAY! MAYDAY! on 121.5 and squawk 7700 when it turns out the floor mat was resting on his accelerator peddle and then follow-up on the Forum and admit the problem was the floor mat. (I don’t think this is the only venue he posted his predicament to.)
But Jeff&Sandy own and drive a Liberty Coach. Owning a Liberty Coach gives its owners that additional level of self-confidence that we’re traveling in the finest luxury motor coach on the planet.
I hope that someday I’ll be able to meet both Jeff and Sandy and we can talk confidently about our Liberty Coaches and the extra confidence that they give us.

Marks71: Where do you live? Its likely that a PC Forum member who already owns a Prevost lives nearby and would let give you a ride in his or her coach.

My mistake , the accessory system wasn’t involved ,( i dont think). I have two gauges on the dash which I’ve been told represents primary and emergency ( backup ) the rear tank bled to zero when I lost pressure.
