    I looked into this a few weeks ago and learned that the cost is about $2,000 per tire/rim. And, if you research this on Google, you will find many posts which claim this system does not really work for motorhomes. It is a system developed for the military and their needs are different from ours.

    Yes, you could claim it is worth the peace of mind. But then there are cheaper solutions to get peace of mind.

    Sell your bus and stay home.

    At some point, you have to accept the risks of travelling in a motorhome. Prevost or any other.

    The photo shows 2 products: Tyron on the left; Retrroband on the right. Which system did you Google and find negative reviews? I believe T was developed and used for military originally, while R was developed specifically for MH ..I THINK.

    Other Class A forums have posted at length on the two; overall the gist is that people are less enamored of Tyron and more excited about Retrro … which is more recent, and therefore maybe w/ fewer experienced users. I have seen almost nothing on the Prevost forums. Not sure why.

    If I heard right at the Michelin presentation (2019 EXPO), those of us with 365 tires do not have to worry about the tire leaving the rim like a 315 may do.

    Those are the wheels used with a 365. I see two different purposes pictured. The rim with the black in the center is only going to minimize the chance a failed tire will drop into the center of the wheel, and thus it will more than likely keep the tire in place on the wheel.

    The orange device however looks like it will not only do that, but it will also support the wheel and tire after a blowout so there is less chance of a loss of control situation.

    As the video Al has posted every month has demonstrated if we do get a blowout the use of the proper procedure keeps the coach under control until it can be moved to a safe stopping spot.

    I don’t think either device will be a help in the event of a failure such as a zipper failure in which the tire literally comes apart as it fails. At that point the tire casing is in pieces and apart from control issues, that type of failure has the potential to do a lot of damage to the coach.

    The Michelin research into air-less tires is pretty amazing.
