Threegreens:
How did you overcome the over greasing after the fact?

Al, it looks like it is a Bendix unit. You can see the diagram below doesn’t show slack in the cable, although I don’t know if that’s meant to show normal tension, or lack there of. I’ve never worked with cable controls, so I may be way off track.

Never mind I got it out but does anyone know where to get a new one?

Lastly, know that there are substantial differences in how to replace lead acid batteries with the “drop in replacement” types of lithium batteries from what a manufacturer would do if designing a lithium house battery bank from scratch.
In the replacement case you are largely stuck with your existing wiring, appliances and recharging capacity. In the design from scratch case one would almost always use much higher voltages to reduce wire sizes, reduce system amperage and provide much higher wattage per unit of weight and physical size for the battery bank. That would almost always require new/different wiring, devices, system controls and recharge strategies.

Jim, just give Coburg a call. You’ll also get the dates for Marathon rallies and events.

Bernie, the Queen’s on the move, should be in the desert around the first of the year for a couple of weeks.

David,
I just installed a Roadmaster base plate on a Escalade. If you do not already have one on your Escalade. I would be happy to share what I used and learned.

Yes, the generator is designed to operate while driving. Is your generator enclosed in a hush box?

Always used NAPA – WIX on my 3 Marathons. If you handle the #1971 filter you find that it’s not a cheaply built part but a well made heavy duty part.
The $64,000 question on the Detroit Diesel branded filters is who builds it and too whose specifications.
Filter manufacturing companies bid on a contract to build the DD logo filter.

You have a great coach. We have an ’88 CC conversion (and you call yourself old!). The problem is that they changed things from time to time and it might be difficult for someone other than a similar year coach owner to figure out your situation.
There is no way for incoming fresh water to go to grey or black tanks. However, there is a tank FLUSH connection where a hose connects and helps to clean out the black tank. This is NOT your fresh water fill connection. The fresh water fill should run through 1 or 2 filters and there is likely a lever or 2 that controls whether the water goes to the holding tank or is used as a direct city water connection. If you are able to get some pics of the valves, filters, connections in the water bay we might be able to get you much more information.

So I’m going to take the opportunity and repeat my question about RettroBand that I’ve posted in other front tire blowout discussions.
This product has gotten a lot of discussion “traction” in Class A forums, but not in Prevost as far as I can tell. I’m not sure if there’s a technical reason it wouldn’t work as well w/ bus conversion …or what.
Seems like a $4000 investment would be worth it given the context of how expensive our buses are and the stakes involved in a blowout.
We pick up our coach in mid October and I’m tentatively planning to have these installed when I get it back to Vegas unless I come across some feedback or reasons not to.

In the ‘General Discussion’ section, look for ‘This video could save your life’, it seems to appear on page two.
Safe travels,
