actual experience. about 5 years ago we had a toyota suv that was electric/gas.. also had a gas powered lincoln=results the lincoln averaged 28mpg the toyota = 21 mpg. was nearing batt. life cost was to be $75000. Elect not there yet. Observation you can’t provide energy from thin air. I’m thinking about that….

So here is the message, My 2015 SRX tows fine by turning the engine off, pressing the shift release button and moving the shifter to neutral. Nothing else needs to be done. No miles added to speedo, no battery run down, just go.

In 207, the change from SRX to XT5 included a change from 6 speed to 8 speed tranny. No towing with the 8 speed, darn.

Sure do like towing the SRX and Carolyn enjoys it as her daily driver.

I’ve been getting that for 6 years on my Royale, I’ve had it scanned by Clarke Diesel and with no remedy. I’ve resorted to driving with my ac on which locks the fan on and never get the code. I’ve searched the system extensively and have come up empty. If you come up with the answer please post.

As for the drive line disconnect, It’s a simple installation that any auto repair garage should have no problem with. It’s just a mater of exchanging the drive shaft with the one supplied by Remco and mounting a couple of brackets.for the connect/disconnect cable. Call me and I can explain better than here.

I’d consider just getting the long filler tool and take the extension off – I installed tire pressure doodads once and the tire lost pressure overnight due to the extension. That meant a visit by the tire guys and some $$.

I’ve been running no extensions and just the pass through caps for a few years now… it’s EASY to get the long filler tool onto the stem even if you cant see it. I do this pretty much every morning before a trip.

Then you have nothing to worry about!

Bernie, the answer is yes but it is on the inlet side of the pump.

If I found water flooding the coach as Mark did, step one would be to turn off the water pump switch. I can get to that faster than anything, but it is just a start. My second step would be to open the nearest faucet to full flow so whatever pressure remains is bled off quickly and the water flowing into a sink beats the water flowing onto the floor.

Remember even if you move with lightning speed to get out of the coach you have to open the bay door, and then open the pretty stainless steel door behind the bay door before you can get at any valve. And if you get the valve closed the accumulator tank is still pushing water unless you did as suggested above to dump it down the drain and not on the floor..

While this has the potential to lead to a few jabs against Liberty, there is one thing I have mentioned previously that all owners should do and that is to have a plan of action to deal with issues. The obvious ones are things like alternator failure or failed inverter or any other potential failure. But as seemingly rare as water leak might appear to be, owners probably should have a plan to kill the flow of water if a leak is found. Obviously a drip type leak is not a crisis but does have to be addressed, and a full flow leak such as a valve blowing apart requires very fast response.
