Very slow leak on injection pump kubota v2003
I have a leak at the injection pump, can’t really tell if it’s for a specific cylinder. I get about 1 drip every 5 seconds. May not seem like much, but over time it makes a mess, and it may be why 1 or 2 of my air bags have deteriorated.
I am looking for advice on replacing seals myself vs sending in the pump for a rebuild. The generator is in a 1997 Royal Coach, hour counter shows 1799 at the generator, but the one inside has quite a bit more. I have noticed it is really hard to find a rebuild kit for this. Anyone done this themselves before? Thanks.

1995 Kubota V2203 – This valve was leaking at 12,000 hrs 9+ yrs ago. Fixed it by putting a new o-ring in it. 14,000 hrs now and it still doesn’t leak. I did have to put a set of rod bearing in it at 13,000 hrs.

I have always wondered what that valve is for and should it be cracked open slightly. I seem to remember something on my other coach about it being a air bleed or something like that. Any info?

I was wondering if it came from that valve. Do you happen to recall the o-ring size? I believe it’s to purge the air as you suggest. I don’t think it has to be cracked open all the time.

Its tiny, I have an assortment and used whatever worked. Take the valve apart and slip one on.
I think its suppose to be open about 1/4 turn?

Hey Don I never had mine open until I replaced the valve and cracked it 1/4 to 1/2 and it starts better then ever with it cracked,

Used that valve to bleed air after any work on fuel system.

I managed to get an o-ring, A006, which seemed to fit well. However, it still leaks, so I ordered a genuine Kubota “Jet Start Cock Assy”, p/n 14311-60504. I did find many non-OEM Kubota parts out there, but there were plenty of reviews stating they leaked, so I avoided those. Once the part gets here I’ll report on its performance.

My kubota part came in, and I no longer have a leak. I replaced two of the air bags yesterday, so hopefully I am good to go for my upcoming trip.
