Asko Dryer T700 Repair
My
dryer is still working fine, but is making noise that I assume is
belt or pulley related. Anyone tackled that job, looks like a real
joy to remove the dryer. Glad it’s not stacked, but it’s sure nicely
built in.

Tom, I replaced the dryer’s drum rollers on my unit without removing the dryer from the cabinet. It required a bastardized wrench built by Kevin Erion. I think next time I will pull the unit out to remove the top and front panels.

I had to pull mine out, had to pull the fridge out to get behind it to remove the screws securing it. I found a Utube video that showed how to take it apart!

Within the last 15 years we heve encountered three appliances that caused me to spend a great deal of time fixing them.
The first was the Amana refrigerator in our coach and I resisted replacing it for far too long because the opening was the size specifically for it, it was painted and trimmed to match tyhe interior, etc.
The second was the Asco dryer in our home. I had that apart more than I want to remember for a variety of reasons until I just quit believing the lie that said it was a fine European appliance.
The third was the Splendide combo washer and dryer. I wish I kept track of all that went wrong with each and every one of these devices.
When I pulled each one out and replaced them life was good.
