New compressor is in and we have the same issue. HVAC guy is saying reversing valve is bad, now we need to find one

Had relative we were traveling with that used Google maps on an IPad when traveling. We were following behind using an RV GPS. Traveling to the upper peninsula of Michigan driving next to the coast of Lake Superior cell phone signal was lost. The IPad just froze and they were dead in the water. So glad my GPS still worked great. NO CELL SIGNAL…NO GOOGLE GPS… With an RV GPS you can enter coach height, weight and length so it should route you on roads that can take your coach.

You didn’t say if you had the rigid beam frt axle or IFS? 1997 was the transition year.
If you have rigid beam? the “steering damper” may be bad. See pages 985 & 986 of the parts manual.

Does anyone know where I can find this valve?

Have you verified the air pressure to the tensioners is correct? Pressure that is too high will stretch the belts.
Just a thought.

Rudy,
With all due respect I cared for my planes for 35 years. Let me assure you the surface of a plane does not get soil or dirt or any of the stuff that comes off the highway on it. What planes get is sooting from the jet exhaust at airports and after flying through a heavy rain they end up with light black streaks. Those streaks are more oily than abrasive.
They cannot compare to the solids our coaches pick up from the highways which include rubber dust, gritty fine sand, salt, and grease and oil spots.
Tom and I are from the rust belt of western NY so I know what we have seen on our coaches, cars and trucks may be a little worse than what might end up on a coach driven in the rain down south but I can tell you after a day in the rain my coach has a lot of dirt and solids I would not want to rub against my stainless or clear coat.

There’s a bolt on the bottom that is fairly easy to remove, but a bitch to get back in. That bolt holds the bag to the mounting plate.

Dick and Cathie, I think that’s a great idea!

Per, funny you would say Las Vegas..We were in Vegas all of May and sat through the same thing. With three roof air’s on my Eagle I have zero issue staying cool and only ran two most of the time. But I have done a bunch to make this coach more energy efficient. We had some friends over and it was 109 outside, I had the living set at 74 and the AC would shut off becasue the interior temp was reached. Our friends could not believe that with one AC running and 109 deg outside we could not only reach 74 degree we could maintain it to the point the AC would shut down. As for bedroom, I can turn that into a meat locker….lol so set up right roof AC’s can work very well.
But as stated lack of knowledge on the cruiseairs are my only real concern. It appears that this particular H has had all new cruiseair control boxes installed as well as some other AC system work done at Marathon, so maybe that would last a while…lol
We shall see. A few things have to happen to get the stars aligned, but we like what we see. We also like the twin slide XLII Jeff has at ETLC, but conversations seem to be having a tough time, so I don’t know if that will ever actually have a chance, but it aint for lack of my trying.

Marius, I think you made the wise decision. Let me share my experience with the 1990 CC generator layout, assuming yours is the same as mine was. The gen is cooled by air sucked through the radiator via a fiberglass shroud over the radiator with its opening at the bottom on the passenger side. Cooling air is sucked though the complartment, and thus the radiator, by a large squirrel cage fan which exhausts out the bottom of the bus on the driver side. I found that over time my gen started running hotter and hotter, to the point that it would shut down on super hot days while in motion. Radiator flush and service did not fix it. We eventually realized that either the squirrel cage was not as effective as it had been, or air was somehow being sucked into the compartment without going through the radiator. The fan checked out ok and we could not find any obvious air leaks. We solved the problem by mounting a couple of electric automotive cooling fans on the inside of the radiator, which assisted the squirrel cage and assured that air was going through the radiator. Something to consider if yours runs hot.
