Brett, you may not want to do this on the forum although it will get a significant number of people aware of your needs, listing your budget and desired features may get you pointed at the right coach.
A lot of owners contemplating a newer coach may just contact you if their coach falls within your list of needs and price before the coach is even listed.
The hardest part of buying a coach is facing what the market values your coach and dealers especially are always going to pay a lot less than that so there is a benefit to a private transaction as long as you are willing to sell yours outright.

I think Brett is reading the first 11 words of Jon’s reply and applying it to asking the original question about looking at a coach. I don’t think that was the meaning, it applies to posting his budget etc.

Didn’t know I posted my budget anywhere, maybe I did and didn’t know it. Hell I would delete the whole thread if I could, but can’t seem to figure out how.
All I thoght I was doing was asking for a set of eyes. Reckon not.

Brett, In case I was not clear I think a lot of us would be willing to look at coaches for you once you find one you think might be a candidate. But if we had more detail about your wants and needs and budget we also could alert you to coaches that are available even if they are not listed anywhere.

I’m still trying to figure out why just a few days ago you threw in the towel and decided to to stick with your Eagle and now you’re back in the hunt. That’s a good thing, just curious. All that is being suggested is if we know your price range so folks that know of coaches don’t waste a bunch of time with coaches out of your range. People do that all the time here, like looking for an XL in the 150K range. That narrows it down.

We all want to help you find the coach of your dreams. I suspect a big issue is finding a dealer who will trade your coach. Premium Coach Group in Phoenix will do that–our friends traded in their CC Allure on a Featherlite. They liked dealing with Chad, and felt they were getting a reasonable deal. They also went from a 4-slide coach to a one slide coach, and his wife still liked the Prevost better! Maybe if you let us know which coach you wanted checked out, we have a better idea of what you are interested in

The Forum members and admins are making two points to you:
1. If you find a coach that checks many of your boxes, many of us on the Forum would be happy to look at the coach if its in their area. If you find a coach a couple, three hour drive from Milwaukee I’d be more than happy to do that for you so you aren’t out on a wild goose chase looking at a misrepresented coach. I’m still stunned at the number and magnitude of the bad experiences you’re had in your search.
2. If you were to post a general idea of what you’re looking for, its possible that someone on the Forum might be aware of a coach that’s for sale or about to come up for sale that fits your requirements.
A post might be … “Looking for a late 90’s, early 2000’s H-45, need sleeping for no more than two, must have private commode, standard trailer capacity OK, we’re full-timers and prefer extra storage over OTR/bus air, have four slides now, would like one or two. Indifferent between natural wood or Vitricor. Have a purchase budget of $150K and budget of $30K for initial zero out.”
The admins might want to consider adding an additional topic: We’re looking for a coach to buy.
All these little things add liquidity to the market and faciliate efficient sales of coaches … which benefits everyone who has an interest in buying, owning, selling, converting, maintaining, or repairing a Prevost coach.

Jon, I completely mis-interpreted what you were saying. I thought you were saying it was a bad idea to ask for eyes, or to list my budget…My appologies I read it backward.
Tom, last week I was venting and in a very bad mood based on a bad dealer, actually several bad dealer experiences in a row. I looked at this forum as friends I could vent to, regroup and move on. I have full intent to have a bus, I may never, but I have full intent.
As for asking anyone to take a look, I will only ask if I think said bus might work. It is in my budget, along the lines of a floor plan we may like and one that we “think” has a possibility. I will not ask ANYONE to look at anything that does NOT fit our possibilites. I don’t do goose chases nor would I ever waste anyone’s time. Again, I looked at this forum as a group of friends spread all over the country where I am in one spot. I have never known ANYONE that didn’t like to look at coaches, buses, rv’s.
As for what I am looking for….tough question really. My preference is an H3 non slide, single couch. My WIFE”S preference is either an H3 or and XLII with at least ONE slide. Even with all of that said, if we could find a double slide H or X that fit our budget and in a floorplan and interior we liked we are not opossed. My budget is in the < $250ish. So from all of that, we really don't care if it is an H or an X, we don't really care if it is no slides, 1 slide, or two slides. We have decided we can live in all of them, it is the floor plan that makes the difference. I guess I could continue on and say I preferred roof airs and we don't care about all the outside kitchen stuff. We would rather have the bay space. I don't want a project and due to heating/coolong anf fulltime I am not interested in an XL, even though I love the looks of the rivited coaches. Hope that makes everything clear as mud…lol I am always on the lookout, so if you ever see me come on here and yell…I had yet another bad experience.

Your budget and your desires are where I was two years ago, when my hunt began. My wife listened to Tom, and the rest is history.
I did get kinda lucky … I bought from another PC member and the bus was in fabulous shape.
That said, if your budget is $250k, look at something in the low $200’s, save the extra $$ for updating the coach, especially the chassis. That is, unless you have verified records that the entire chassis has already been zeroed out and the electronics (HDTV, Fridge) and House Batteries have been updated. I ensure I had to extra $$ in my budget and am thankful I did.
The primary difference between the two of us is that I didn’t have a coach to sell, consign, or trade. I was able to go right to a private owner, which certainly does have its financial advantages.
But I’m sure given enough patience, you’ll find your coach and the right deal to make it happen.

Don’t let Tim fool ya, I had nothing to do with his coach selection. Cindy looked at my H, said she didn’t want slides, we high fived and it was a done deal. She’s a smart lady…..
