Talked to two different parts specialists at Prevost yesterday…. the first one said the airbags would go on sale in May, and the second checked with someone else and seemed confident they would be on sale April 1st. Guess I’ll find out for sure next week.

That’s refreshing to hear and takes some of the pressure off coming to a new place for information. What I didn’t expect was the humor many of you have shown in your posts. It’s almost as though you guys are half human!
I’ve been reading an article from the Articles file as you guys recommended and I’m almost through “Prevost Selection Narrowing the Choices by John W. Wehrenberg”, very informative and instructive.
Can you tell me when bath and a half models started showing up? I’ve not seen a bath and half model from the 8 to 10 floorpans I’ve looked at so far?
While I’m thinking about it, is there someplace on the forum where you can select to be notified “emailed” on every thread I start and every thread I participate in? I’ve looked for it but not found it.

If you have a Bendix AD9 dryer, once the purge begins, that valve stays open until the next charge cycle begins. And that is determined by the set pressures in the governor (regulator) which is bolted to the compressor, for example build pressure at 100 psi, stop building pressure at 120 psi. The governor monitors psi in the aeroquip line from the wet tank to the governor for this control.
If it sounds like you are getting two purges on one cycle, verify that the delivery check valve at the bottom of the dryer is not hanging up before it closes. This prevents air presssure from flowing back into the dryer from the wet tank. Problem sounds dryer related because the compressor would not build 20 psi quick enough to get an immediate second purge. Still thinking. -
Right there with you Davy, I always try to be open to learning better ways of doing things…Once we crank in the morning, it’s very unusual for me to shut down until we get to our nightly destination…fuel stops, lunches, Lucky Dog walk stops, and usually a 10-15 min turbo cool down, all included. After the first approx. 2 min after start in the morning, I’m on fast idle whenever we idle though. One exception is a very, very early morning departure from a crowded campground where we have to hook up the Jeep. I’ll position the coach, shut down, hook up, then re-start & motor on out, taking it very gently until the temps come up to approaching normal ranges.

I took my cues from entertainer owners and drivers, the only bus people I knew before Prevost Community came along. They told me they let them idle if they are parked 2 hours or less. They were of the opinion that the worst thing you can do to your engine is start it, so let it run.
I am open to being educated better but I usually do not shut down when getting fuel or stopping for a quick bite.

William, I think the use of pure sine wave inverters is a good update for coaches with modified sine wave if for no other reason than to protect newer appliances that do not function well with modified sine wave power. However I don’t think your inverters are related to or affecting your voltage displays.
The fact your actual voltage readings at outlets are the same as the power from the pedestal or the generator tells me there is an issue only associated with voltage to the voltmeters in your electric panel.
Except for the volt meter readings, nothing you listed as actual voltages would be alarming so I have no fears you won’t be safe, as I would it you had the voltages at the source, such as at the pedestal and the voltages at the outlets were as low as the voltmeters show. I do wonder if you load the system such as by running Cruiseairs if the voltages at the outlets drop. The reason I say that is without loads you can get good voltage levels, but as soon as a load is applied the voltages drop. If that is the case then my next step would be to start at the transfer switch and verify everything is tight as far as connections and then open the electrical panel in the coach and make sure the connections to the bus bars are tight also. I would look carefully for evidence of high heat either by looking for dark or burned insulation or the smell of hot electrical components.

With a little time spent searching for Owners Manuals, Maint Manuals, Air Diagrams, etc you will find more information then you ever thought possible. Prevost really does have a LOT of information on line and it is a big help in understanding the different systems.

And now for the “rest of the story”. I’m in Breckenridge, CO. Made a phone call to Michelin One Call at 3PM. They would have had someone at my location from Denver in a couple hours (80 miles). I told them, no emergency, since I was safely parked in a RV resort. Arrangements were made and I had a new 365 installed in the morning by a very professional service, A&E Tire of Denver.
Michelin One Call and FMCA advantage program is really top notch along with the excellent service providers they associate with. -

I found out that the unit is an Megatech Electro Inc (Quebec, CA) Overheat sensor device that monitors 3 locations on the coach for over heating. Megatech Electro Inc. was bought by SMTnet so I don’t know if they are still in business.
