I had the AH 450 in my 08 Beaver and can’t recall any time we were without hot water in electric only mode. This one has a 1650W heating element and claims to have continuous hot water (120 degrees) at 1.5 gal/min.
The one on the IH is the 600 and it has 2 2KW heating units and produces countinuous hot water at 2 gal/min. This is their largest RV unit with 120V heating elements. The largest RV unit, the 675 has a 2KW 120V element and a 4.5KW 240V element. The 675 is the logical choice for conversions that want maximum hot water. Its storage tank is 16 gallons.

I knew about this from my issues with the faulty VPOD’s last fall. I was able to clear some, but not all of the codes that were getting thrown when I had that issue. I suspect there are some that still need the computer / reader to be cleared out…..

I am at Jeff’s place now getting some maintenance done. It is a very nice, clean facility and Jeff is first class to deal with. I had a laundry list and everything is going very well. He should finish up tomorrow if all goes well. We are waiting for some parts from Prevost which should arrive tomorrow AM.
If you need some work, give Jeff a call. He is very easy to talk to and won’t try to pad the bill with things you don’t need. He actually convinced me that some hoses I was concerned about, did not need to be done at this time.
It is great to have a place to go for work on either the chassis or conversion. His location is easy to get to and is secure for parking.

Hi Gil, I had Ben ovcr in the bus yesterday. He is not a friend of Crestron. Pretty much for the same reasons that I am not a fan.
The way I am approaching this now is, to remove all of the components which have to do with audio and video. That is the bulk of the components. I have removed 5 pieces out of 8 components, already. I do have 2 components to go. All of the removed equipment deals with audio and video.
As indicated in my prior post, this represents a lot of weight. The amps in themselves weigh a combined 200 lbs. and the additional components add more pounds to it.
I am leaving the Crestron “brains” which contains or manages the software. So far, knock on wood, everything else is still working as expected. That is to say, the lighting, the shades, etc.
Once I have removed the 2 additional components, labeled Front TV and Bedroom TV, I will be down to bare bones.
I will also have removed enough hardware to make ample room for the 2 new Sony AV receivers. As mentioned, already, these receivers have many more capabilities, for a heck of a lot less money, than the Crestron hardware which I have or am removing.
FWIW, I have listed equipment on eBay.
The saga continues …

Jeff is right, but it becomes an energy management problem that we all deal with.
If we need to load up our electical circuits with AC units, the grille or a microwave we shed loads we don’t need.
You can also plan your schedule, such as do laundry when you don’t need all the AC units. The good news about the conventional HW tank is we can leave it on at night when loads are low, and turn it off during the day when 20 gallons of HW is ample.

what type of Rally participation numbers do other groups see at the rallys they have. Are there locations that can handle large numbers of Prevost Coaches all at the same time. Is there an average generic % of a groups total membership that generally participates in a groups rallies. Is there a time of year and area of the country that generally gets a better participation rate than others.

we just got ours, looking forward to using it…..thanks for the program!

You are wrong about not being able to sell a engine that does not meet EPA requirements Naviastar( IH) has been doing it for years they just pay the $19000 fine for each engine and keep making the engine they are just now testing the 2010 regulations Volvo and Cummins have been having fits about itI read the test on the PeterBuilt MX 13 in Diesel Magazine a few months back it may be garbage but WalMart is big on the idea fwiw

The only thing the two sides would share is the tag lift feature..some converters had the tags lift when you shut the key off..some one with that feature needs to chime in here.. my coach has a switch you need to throw to lift the tags. That is the only thing I can see in common between both sides. Even at that when it is activated it is suppose to isolate itself from the drive axle air bags on both sides.. Making them independent once again left–right. Otherwise the manual leveling valve controls all thee on left/or right side only…no cross over..Have not got to diagram yet..will later.. Bob

Bob, I’ll be checking those items you mentioned. Any ideas after looking, let me know.

Slides: strickly old school with chain drive; limit switch. everything simple taking up little space above the floor. Rollers on bottom that carried part of the load Each component is a part of the structure. On a previous coach the new owner tried to change(cut out parts) the structure then wonder why he had problems. It is not perfect!!!! I have $1000. in parts and materials in all 28 ft of slides in this build. I expect problems but will adjust until I get it rite. cost plus 3 awnings a friend built for a total of another $300– his cost.(forgot about them). Last ones did not leak air or water going down road and had a occasional damp( minior spot) in a toad strangler. Something I could live with on a budget! never got wet in bed or on couch! Both were in slides… Differant seals on this set. Non air—mechanical. .. Believe me there is nothing special about my coach. It is junk yard compared to what the factory ones are. I will prob paint it next year . I don’t like the marron color it is now. plus the back 1/4 has heat damage above the paint line. New siding will replace damaged. I have it from IBP. I have had hydraulic slides with complicated controls—When they malfunction your out of luck. With the chain drive a 1/2 inch rachett and you can crank it in by hand. No defense here for being simple or build on the cheap. Safety is never compromised!!!! My new build will probably scale under 40000. Last one the 89 with 2 slides was 36100. loaded. Bob
