My gen battery can be charged 4 different ways:
    1) It’s own little 12v alternator
    2) The inverter/chargers charge house batts which charge gen bat thru isolator
    3) The Liberty installed 12v alternator driven by 90* gear box, which charges house batts, which charges gen bat thru isolator
    4) With a portable battery charge

Gencon was an auto start device on early coaches.

On all my Liberty coaches the CA filters were all accessible behind a panel that either had screws (my 87) or catches.

I assume different floor plans sometimes necessitated unusual requirements.

Hmm, my 97 Marathon XL had inverter bypasses, Liberty waited until about 06 when they got rid of the Heart dinosaurs. What year did you stop having to remove the refrigerator to clean the galley Cruiseair filter?

So tell me I’m wrong here.

In a 2005 Liberty Frank still hadn’t gotten around to installing a inverter bypass in his builds?

Diane did not get e-mail, call me if you want, I have 2 of these Xantrax basic remotes that I put on the bus and then up graded to the Magnum’s 2812 because of the new refer I installed and needed pure sign wave inverters. I will give those remotes to you if you pay shipping they were 125 bucks each and I will never use them again. the controller has a lot more settings then with the standard controller that has 1 switch on front,to change settings you have to change dip switches on back, that’s why I changed to these controllers, much easier. Pretty dangerous making it look like a firearm, too.

    Dan,

your biggest issue travelling down I-76 towards Denver is rough, tooth jarring pavement. As you know I-76 blends into I-70 west of downtown Denver.

Well we’re headed off to Moab tomorrow, we do have a small artillery piece on board as an absolute last resort. I could skirt Denver, but I’ll be going through Saturday noonish on I76 and I70 so I’m not that concerned. Besides my H looks like a Winnebago so I’m not as much of a target as you rich bastards with the shiny stainless buses.

This news, while I wish it wasn’t so, doesn’t really surprise me. I remember this past November when I found out that the Wintergarden, FL facility existed, I wondered why they would have built a major facility such as this so close to an existing facility in Jacksonville. I guess it makes sense to have one facility basically in the middle between I-75 and I-95 than to have one on each. I have had service at both locations and both were outstanding in taking care of my needs.

Brock What motor do you have 12.7 liter or 14 liter

what is the 10th digit of your VIN? The VIn plate can be seen on your drivers side front pillar front looking thru windshield from outside. I suspect something like 2PCW3349??101???? this Question marks are your unknown numbers. The sequence ?101, the ? Mark before numbers 101 is your year of chassis if its a “3” your shell was manufactured as a 2003 shell if its a 4 or 5, and you have 14 liter engine makes it some of the last of the XLII 40’s Rare bird, to the say the least

I always kept wasp spray by the front of my RV. And piled up chairs by the front door at night and kept an aluminum baseball bat handy. Also when I parked on an interstate a street light near the front and if a cop Was parked up front I made sure he could see me.
Just make sure you are always cautious.

Be safe and stay alert. I am 83 and plan on getting a lot older.

My guess is that the unit comes out the front window like the refrigerator.
