    Grizz,

For what its worth, Xtreme removes film with a clothes steamer and plastic razor blades plus hours of patient effort.

All the best in your replacement.

    Jon,

The “Painted on Film” at Extreme is the primer, not on top of the clear coat. Finish colors and double clear are on top of the energy asorbing primer.

So maybe this approach has a better chance of long term success since it is protected from the elements. James can share more detail than I can — 936.560.5888

Sorry H3 owners, but with the stainless that coach just oozes class. The finish, set off by the polished stainless creates a look no other coach has come close to.

    See what I mean?

Bill, I have learned a lot of new words and phrases since Tom and I started PC, and one of the issues we have found is that apparently Apple and Microsoft don’t like each other. As a result there are compatibility issies that every one of us has experienced from time to time. There are so many different devices, browsers, etc. that when something is screwed up or doesn’t work the phrase “clear the cache” is often heard. I still don’t know what that means, but I do know what “browser” means. FWIW Tom and I see a lot of issues ourselves every time the servers are updated. We have lost emails, been unable to access the admin functions and generally have been prevented from doing what we need to do. So my general advice is if you are having issues, “clear the cache”, switch to a different :”browser”, or make sure you are correctly logged in.

Last time out to west texas came upon a long trucking load stuck in a ditch on side of road trying to turn around. They (pilot car) figured out from GPS they were heading the wrong direction and tried to turn around. The Trucker, as I stopped to giggle (in my mind) told me he was going to stick that GPS unit up that leaders butt if he could catch him. I know they are helpful though but I’ve got one built in, in the seat next to me. But she fusses when I make the wrong turn.

    Great Story Davy!

Now, if you had that Dash Cam, you could have replayed it later, with full audio, and I’m sure everyone would have gotten a good laugh, especially considering no one got hurt.

Correct, have the retarder and use it alot. Side benefit I see is that when the fan does kick on I am now able to drop temps below 190 on long pulls, hot weather etc, also lower oil temps.

It’s interesting that Rudy the Aqua-hot guru replied to this thread. When Beverly and I arrived in the Houston area after having traveled from Washington State we had both an Aqua-hot and a transmission problem. Tom Truk put us in contact with Rudy who did a wonderful job of getting our AH back in shape. Actually, Rudy coached me in making most of the repair myself.

Tom also had tried to help us find a reliable Allison/ rear end repair shop but we ended up finding Lewis Large on our own. I can’t say enough about Lewis’ expertise and the excellent results he achieved in fixing a hard-shift problem our coach has had ever since we bought it almost 10 years ago.

Both Rudy and Lewis are terrific repair guys if you’re in the Houston area. Both of them are mobile and will travel extensive distances in order to help out stranded travelers. It’s an asset to have them as advertisers on PC.

We travel in ours several times a month, nearly every month of the year (to and from concerts). This last year we have stayed in -10 degrees in WI in January to 110 degrees in Texas in August. Although we have traveled alot, we have stayed at only two campgrounds!

thank you for the information. I have taken it apart where I can see all the components. I can’t even tell where the lines actually go through the floor? Also, I see there are two refrigeration valves. Could these be stuck shut? Also, I’m not sure how to PM from the site?

    Thanks,

    Eric

You have a problem. I am not talking about the leans. I am talking about something that is making the coach act in a most unusual manner. It may be serious, it may be simple, but your first action has to be to verify the suspension does what it is told by you at the controls.

First, if the coach has another suspension control system like an aftermarket HWH that was installed by Marathon, disable it. That should leave you with a round knob on a 4 position selector and a rocker switch to control all suspension operation.

With the coach lowered or at any odd position, and the rotary switch in the road or driving position you should be able to start the coach, air it up and the coach should go to and remain at the correct driving height. You said it drops in the rear so that problem needs to be isolated.

If with the supplemental suspension system control disabled it functions correctly the problem is in that control. If the problem persists it could be a number of things uncluding multiple problems simultaneously impacting the system, such as water in the system combined with leaks.

Rather than trying to over analyze it start with simplifying the problem by using only the Prevost installed controls and see what happens. I get really concerned on older coaches, especially those that have had non=Prevost mechanics work on them, and especially those whose history is unknown.

Colt couldn’t have been more fun, at least until I asked him what looked good on a Lawyer? What he says, and I said, a Doberman. Who cares, we wanted to spend time with Melissa anyway.:)
