I put Velcro straps on every bus I had with manual zip dee’s, keeps the arms tight.

Jim,
I added Velcro straps to my main zip dee awning to keep them tight while underway. Probably not necessary but I get more peace of mind knowing that the arms are secure.

Hi Tom, Not sure what you mean? That I couldn’t go over 55 due to a computer glitch? I was thinking more of your earlier statement of “You want them to drive it, that’s what puts them over the fence when coming from a plastic coach.” And the 55 didn’t effect the driving impression, it was fantastic!

On my last two Libertys to get the Cruiseair SMX panels to come on I had to have the switches on in the main 120V electrical panel, plus turn on the A/Cs using a switch for the appropriate unit on the dash, or if you have a touch panel display turn them on at the display. Then the SMX should be alive and you can operate the A/C.

Yikes. I would hate to see how much a fat 365 tire will be. Our 4 have date code of 2013. Per what has been said on another thread, 2020 we will need Michelin to inspect them
Question: with the recent Michelin info change on tire age, why are sellers bound by the five year rule?

Unlike Class A coaches, every Prevost is unique with varying equipment and options. The value of a 2013 will vary by a huge margin depending upon converter, options and, more importantly, what maintenance has been done and needs to be done. At 6 years you are looking at all new tires, likely batteries and a number of high dollar required work. If it’s been done you will pay more. If not, you need to keep your budget in line and be prepared to spend the money….immediately. Tires are going to be close to $10,000 if you have to replace all 8.
There’s not really a depreciation “curve”. More like a line extended from the upper left to the lower right at about a 40 degree angle. That’s not too bad if you consider a Class A has the same chart but it’s more like a 60 degree angle!

Jon:
What is the correct part number that you have previously told is to stock up for drawer and door latches? Also where can we order them from? I’ve ordered numerous from Amazon but they are all too large. Thanks. Scott Reising.

I already knew about the dues and paid them. I was just now shopping for the Rolex’s, but not sure what size they would want.
I also found out that at mcdonalds, I can get a dollar coffee for just a dollar if I can prove my membership, so I am glad I did.
Looking forward to this.

If you pay yearly in advance you get batteries at retail

Why are you starting the bus every day or so?
1. I don’t believe there is a good reason to start the bus every day or so, unless you are having a problem with the chassis batteries and that’s a separate issue.
2. When you start the coach, you should be expecting to let it come ride height, build 120psi of pressure, warm up a bit, and then drive it for 30 minutes to an hour (whatever it takes to bring the engine and transmission to say normal operating temperature).
3. If you don’t bring it to normal operating temp, there is fuel that blows by the piston rings and ends up in the oil, diluting the oil. Bringing the engine to normal operating temp for a while helps to cook the fuel and condensation out of the oil.
Back to my original question … why are you starting it every day or so?

From experience, if you got a rebuilt Cruiseair you don’t get a new blower motor that could be 20 years old. Mine failed in 6 months and needed a new motor.
You should go back to Marathon and have them correct your problems on their nickel. Changing the Cruiseair and PLM should have no impact on the other items you described.

I’m very glad to hear you got her going again! Prevost never did email me the diagrams after several attempts on their website with different browsers and email addresses. It wouldn’t have helped you anyway as it turned out.
“Did the bad wiring harness also short something in the ECM?”
That is very possible, I would even say likely if you could push on the harness and change how the engine runs.
Interesting how you had a fuel pump and an ECM problem, but you were able to start it from the rear!

Ron,
My dash looks a little different but I have two of those lighted rockers in the chassis climate control area. One is to turn on the dash ac compressor and the other one turns on the coolant booster pump for the dash heat. The pump is on the ceiling of the basement mid ship.

In the 11.5 years we had the Liberty, we visited a Prevost service center once, that being Saint Nicolas. From that experience, I can vouch for the abundant fairness of Prevost in their billing practices. That being said, it was the biggest bill I ever had.
