But Buddy, are you saying there is no chance your grey tank is full and you won’t be able to drain the water from the tub, the pump will quit, the breaker will trip taking out the hot water heater, the Marathon sewer hose won’t extend, the Webasto won’t fire, the surge protector is tripped, both inverters are inverting, it’s raining and the slide is leaking, the Crestron won’t re-boot and to top it all off, Jeff is beating on your door wanting you to run to Home Depot, chop chop?

Relax my friend, but I know you do miss it.🤔

I was under the impression that you sold me your coach for two reasons:

1. You really want a 40 foot Country coach again!

2. You heard that Ann wanted 2 slides and a newer bus.

You could have made a lot of brownie points if you had used number 2 as the reason.

All kidding aside, hope you are happy with your decision and hope at some point you get to travel again.

When you get a house or apartment do you have to prove you came from a bus that was 10 years old or less?

As some know, I have also sold my bus. Happened pretty quick in Dec 2018.

With the help of Legacy Coach Rockwall TX. Brandon had a buyer for my triple slide 2007 Marathon H3-45.

Drove the bus to Rockwall TX. arriving a rainy afternoon. Arrangements had been made for the buyer to see it next day. That happened with the buyer showing up making an offer $50K less then we discussed. I rejected his offer.

Brandon, tells me not to worry as he has another buyer, has made a phone call, will arrive next day to look. We had a deal struck at 2:00 pm with the second buyer.

Way to go Brandon…sold in under 48 hours smile

Miss the bus, after 18 years of RVing ? yes a lot. I’am thinking after 3 Prevost and one Country Coach its time to move on.

Things changed after loss of my wife in May 2016 and then after a routine physical in May 2018 learning I have prostate cancer. In order to save my life the Prostate gland must be removed ASAP.

I’am still recovering from that operation but last week learning ..I’am cancer free at this time. My treatment will continue for 2 years to help prevent it returning.

I guess after reading Buddy’s post things fell in place to write this post. All except laying in the tub with the shower on…yikes.

Thanks for all the memories….one hell of a “ride on air”.

We wish you both all the best, Buddy for having less maintenance to mess with along with longer and hotter showers.

Al we wish you continued good checkups.

If and when and the day comes for us to make a change we will do as both of you have done. We will evaluate our situation and make the right decision for us at the time.

Glad to hear your checkups are coming back with good news. Anytime you miss the air ride or better yet miss working on a bus and chasing air leaks you let me know and I will come get ya and we can “air ride” anywhere you want.

I celebrated my 49th birthday working in Reno last week and got the call that my 59 year old older brother passed away from a massive heart attack… kinda puts things in perspective… so I’m thinking it might be time to step back and smell the roses a bit more than my current role and responsibilities allow.

Well … well,

I have been “waiting”/dreading this post, for the last month (since the Tampa RV Show), but I guess I need to follow Al’s & Buddy’s lead.

As you may know, we sold our Bus the end of June and headed back to the farm for fall harvest, not arriving in Florida until December. All the meanwhile, I eagerly attempted to locate a two-slide Bus, within our budget. It took me six months to find our first Prevost so I thought I was on-course for the next one.

Well, at the Tampa show, while I was still looking for that Bus, and working the Habitat booth, my wife got talking with another Habitat spouse about how she loved to travel in her “Van.” You know where this is going … She told my wife they owned a Class B and how she loved to drive it, park it, take it to the grocery store … you get the picture. Cindy even got a 1st class tour of their RV, returning to me with a big smile on her face 🙂

That evening, Cindy & I had a “conversation” about our next RV. Guess who won that “discussion,” especially since I personally picked our Prevost the first time, after dragging her to every DP factory tour out there, and the PC maintenance workshop. Somehow, she believed that she was entitled to pick our next RV. Um, Yep!

So, we’re changing up some of our travel habits, between a more permanent place in SC, we’ll still travel around 4 months in the year, in very tight quarters. I’ve ordered a hammock for the outside!

During a conversation with Al recently, he asked if I would ever buy another Prevost, I told him in a heartbeat, but it may be with my next wife 🙂 (Just kidding and don’t quote me on that!)

I still follow all the conversations on PC! This forum and the administrators are the best and, hopefully, we’ll still meet down the road … just look for the Van with the guy in the hammock!
