My old Boss, long gone, had one built by them every 2 years back in the late 70’s and 80’s out in the West Texas Oilfields. Had 4 over the years. Always wanted something new. Nice coaches. Had one that I built a stainless steel water tank for when the old one leaked. Only problem He had with any of them. Drove um many a mile.

Curious, what are M & G tow arms? I’ve used their braking system before and it was a great product.

I need to get my old one out first to get numbers of it. There are service kits available from Prevost. The part that really gets me is that I called and was ordering one and made the mistake of giving my payment info before I found out it would be about $1000. I told him to hold off on the order so that I could check and see if it was exactly what I needed (perhaps just the motor or a rebuild kit). Well, two days later guess what shows up at my house… the pump.

Given Joel’s advice, I will see if at least we can move the tag to the outer drive *if* it and the inner-tag wheel have the same tread depth, then move the old drive wheel to the front (replacing the tire) and move the old front to the tag (all of this on the passenger side).

    Luc:

Temporarily at slow speed? yes. Driveshaft ujoint angles get high when not at normal ride height which is bad.

I don’t see the need for a tow since you’re not far from the axle shop. Were you able to confirm the heat temp from your sensor with an IR gun or by touch? You may have a brake dragging. Did you feel any kind of pull in the steering? I’ve had temps that high during slow speed and continuous braking for long periods usually in hilly country due to traffic in high ambient temps. If you could get a mobile guy to jack the front and check for a brake drag that would be better than a tow if you decide not to move the coach.

I assume batteries are dead…we had 2 AC on and the fridge…but had the auto Gen ON also, wondering what happen there, plugged on constant 50 amps with Progressive surge on.

I will need to get now the batteries individually charged to minimum to have the inverters on, is it possible the transfer switch went bad?
I did a complete reset on the coach, no luck…

There is no power in the coach at all…

    Engine runs ok.

My 2005 has permanently sealed hubs and compared to grease or oil filled hubs it is fantastic.

Most of the pieces would likely get caught in the charge air cooler. I am sure that some could get through, but we mainly found things from a turbo failure in the cooler. Sometimes it required replacement of the cooler too. This was on Cat engines in case anyone was wondering.

For every 10 degree in temp drop your tires will drop 1 to 2 pounds.

    Same formula for temp increase.
