But why is the RF different than the LF, which wears like the tags???
The pressures I run are from the Michelin charts.
I realize there may be no easily identifiable reason. In medicine we just call it idiopathic and deal with it. In this case I think the tires will age out before continuation of this wear pattern causes a problem.

Wow time flies George, I remember the day you traded it for a new coach while we were at Lake Toxiway for a Marathon Rally. I’m afraid to ask what year that was.
Good to her from you.

Congratulations on your new “ride”. Rivets Rule!

We have the stock Prevost “bronco” light buckets on our 98 XL. I replaced the stock bulbs with sylvania ultras from advanced auto. No complaints so far. It made a big difference. I also changed out the fog lights with new halogens.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a nice place. I will call them and see what I can get for reservations.

Roger,
I have found the leaks at the fuel pump, banjo fitting brass washers, hose clamps and old hoses that got brittle. You can unhook the coil wire to keep it from firing. I would clean and dry everything, tighted the clamps, remove the nozzle and using something like a coffee can on the end to catch the fuel, run the unit and look for the leaks. It will time out when the photo cell doesn’t see fire, but you should be able to see where the leak is coming from. You can also just pull the plug from the computer to stop everything.
It might be just a simple hose clamp, but if they are good, then you have to go to the other components. For a good review, go to articles for Mango’s article: http://prevostcommunity.com/articleDetail.asp?ID=14

In the rear electric box (over the engine) it is likely you will have two posts for the Jake brake. They will be identified on the diagram and wire list. On an XL or XLII the listing and diagram is on the inside of the LH door. I am not sure where to find that on an H.
If you run a jumper (12 volt) from the 12 volt post in the electric box to either of the Jake brake posts with the engine idling you should hear the engine lug down. Both posts should react the same way to the application of voltage. Doing that bypasses the switch at the dash and confirms the Jake brake within the engine is functioning. If you do not get the loss of RPM on the motor on one or both of the Jake circuits, look for the problem to be with the wiring to the solenoids under the valve cover. They are simple to replace if they have failed, but usually the problem is a broken wire or loose connection. If the engine lugs down as expected look for the issue to be at the Jake control on the dash or the wires or connections from that point back.
As was pointed out when you lift off the accelerator with the Jake engaged you should hear the distinct exhaust sound a Jake brake makes when it is working. It might be as simple as the heavier Prevost is less affected by the application of the Jake so you may not get the feel of deceleration you got on the previous coach.
