Diane,
It is rare that we have the coach in the desert at this time of year. Actually, 105 isn’t as bad as it sounds as we have very low humidity. It is not stifling when you first walk it. After staying 10 minutes or so then you start feeling the heat.
My Dad had been sick and started to fail in Feb. with him passing in June. (94 yrs. old). We were not able to close the house in Palm Springs so we were late doing it. I think the Liberty can handle extremes as it won’t happen often.
With the dash and aux air on, it didn’t seem that hot. Driving to our destination the coach cooled down and 74 is cool with no humidity (I like 30 degrees but I can’t be selfish, LOL).
Hope to see you folks at the next no rally, rally.

Jon, I believe that the correct and proper phraseology is:
“Its an ACQUIRED taste.”

Brian,
I have had good luck with these folks. They have complete 3 and 4 camera systems, back up monitors, etc. They have a split screen monitor that allows you to see the sides and back, and people like Peter Cambell can even add a camera to the inside of their trailer, if wanted. Their side cameras mount to the coach rather than the mirrors, but they may have mirror mounts also, I have not checked.

Brady needs to bring his beautiful Corvette along! Brady, its great to hear from you. Hope your having a great summer and doing a lot of traveling in your coach. Hope that you can make it to either the November or February events or both. Im not going to be against LSU though, they are always playing late in to the season. Lilly said to say hello to by the way. She’s a strapping 116 pounds and healthy a small horse so the vet says. LOL
Hope to see you soon.

The Glands are at the freon valves they have a plastic cover on them that can be removed with a 7/8 socket, the hot gas valve is inside the unit and I doubt that it can be removed without removing the condensing unit.I think that your vintage has the better hot gas valve and it is probabally not the problem, call AAP and they can help you determine if yours could have the plastic one that almost always fails.

Thanks Jack/Tradewinds, can you please help me locate the by-pass valve and hi/lol glands and the pressure switch location since I do not have diagrams? Photos? Thanks

It is the lower pulley that is tensioned by the air bag. It is welded to the bracket due to the way if failed. Belt got wrapped in gear box and compromised seal. this is the gear box that drives the fan and the dash a/c. On my way to Nashville for parts,a new tensioner assembly and gear box. Hope to be back to Young Transportation by 13:00 tomorrow. Will have old tensioner and gearbox rebuilt for spares.

Change out the inverters to Magnums and you can get rid of the watch dog and magnum has a auto start that works on low battery and the air conditioners

OK, as long as it worked out for you, that’s great.

No. The refrigerator and the books went with the coach when I sold it.
The model number is not going to mean much. What is important is to find one that fits in the hole the Amana fits in.

I installed a Kenyon. I ran across the brand looking at high end boats to see what those folks were installing. They are available in 110 or 220 for built in or portable. It claims to be drip less and to my surprise it really is. The grills comes off for washing and I have been very pleased. I had only used charcoal or wood grills in the past and was very doubtful about whether I would like electric for grilling. It has been great. I also installed a Kenyon single burner by the grill and found it well worth it. I do wish I had spent the extra money for an induction burner . I am very convinced that being a 220 model makes it perform to a much higher level. -
Al,
Thanks for the info. I will call today and order the parts and keep you informed of my progress.

It helps immensely if we know your conversion, model of coach, and specifically which batteries are you boiling.
I can give you some very general information based on past posts regarding this topic.
If you are “boiling” your batteries they are being overcharged. If you are using anything other than a 3 stage “smart” charger such as those made by Guest, or your inverters that alone could be the issue.
If you are using your inverters or a smart charger and the batteries are “boiling” you have to insure the settings for the 3 charging stages are correct for the type of batteries, such as charging a gel cell battery to flooded cell voltages is going to ruin the batteries. If you are trying to maintain chassis batteries using a converter installed charger and it is not a 3 stage charger that will ruin a set of batteries in a very short period of time.
You need to provide specifics if we are to be specific in our answers.
