Harry, When you purchase fuel at Loves with an EFS card, the issuing. Company, TSD, is on the hook to Loves, not you. So TSD, who does not credit check you, needs a way to determine which Harry to look for if you do not pay up. SSN is the link.
If everyone always paid up, this would be a non-issue.
Hope this helps.

Tom, A little bird told me that Jon fueled today and saved so much money that he no longer needs to badger you for dues money

I’ve weighted a lot of buses on Cat Scales, never an issue with the platforms.
There are a few I’ve found with wide aprons and side to side was doable. One you can do that on is the QT at Adairsville, GA, I-75 at exit 306.

The numbers look great, Rudy. I received my card today and got the PIN fixed up. Easy process. I did 1800 hundred miles in 8 days ending Wednesday and filled up twice at $3.13.
I am anxious to use this at Love’s in Sparta, KY next Thursday. The price looks great there today.
The folks administering the program have been great to work with too.

Doesnt an equaliser allow for charging a 12v battery bank with a 24v alternator?

Mine appear to be (or appear to have been when removed for rebuild) leak free since new in 1984. I bought a bottle for charging after rebuilds, as well as charging the systems on my home. And, well – he asked!

Jimmy, next time we meet let’s talk about NY (and CA) compared to anywhere else.

Our previous coach was a Signature with 3 full across basement bays. We carried an incredible amount of “stuff”. Things we thought we might need for an upcoming trip were never removed after that trip. When I got around to emptying out the Sig in preparation for selling it, I found some of the “stuff” that I had not seen for 5 years.
Now with the 06 XLII that has basement air conditioning, available storage is significantly less. We put a lot of thought about what we really wanted in the bus and what was “nice to have”. Once we loaded the really wanted stuff, there was actually space left over. I did take pains to make sure storage was very efficient – things that fit – plastic totes that stacked perfectly, etc.
The “nice to have” stuff, after purged of the one time only things that were no longer the “this time”, were put in plastic totes that fit nicely under the roll top cover of our pickup truck toad. I find it interesting that for the last year and a half I have not needed anything from these totes.
The few trips I have taken without the toad were not stressful… somehow I managed to not worry about the items left behind.
