Hang in there Bill, it’s well worth it in the long run. Good advice from Darrell, get it in writing. I made my own deal with the painter since I was paying the bill and Prevost was not involved. If you want to e-mail me, I’ll give you details on what I did.

Just left our 2006 Liberty at Jacksonville Prevost to have the rivet-repair.
Prevost will pay for the rivet job, and we will have to pay for the paint job. Haven’t been told the
price of the paint job yet. Tried to get this rivet job okayed 21/2 yrs. ago at Nashville, but were
turned down by Prevost. While at Jacksonville, a few months ago, they did the pressure test and found many loose panels. Cindy was able to get the rivet repair okayed!
Hard to leave your coach in somebody else’s care for two months, but felt good about the technician,
Eric, who is doing the work. I told Cindy that I had read on this forum what a good job they have done on other coaches. She was proud to hear it!

Grizz, The no see um rivets refer to the delamination repair that some coaches have required. Rivets are installed by Prevost but then covered by stainless strips and painted to match the coach pattern. I may be wrong but I think Truk coined the term.

This past week I installed new oem steer axle shocks. Just for the record and future reference, the old ones at 130,000 miles had the same compression and rebound resistance as the new ones.

FWIW I have never had to pull the fridge to clean any of my Cruise Air filters. I’m not saying that some floor plans require that, but I’ve not had that problem.

I just recently cleaned all of mine and all were accessible by pulling a panel. No tools were required.

Barb is still teaching a couple more years, and while she gets 13 weeks a year off, they do not line up with this rally, so we cannot make it, but we did enjoy our first one at OKC, and will be there again.

If two or more PC members’ paths cross coincidently, and they interact, would that be construed as a rally, a no rally rally, or a no no rally rally?

Davy… FWIW… we had the same problem in our Vantare and were told to never release the brake until it was in gear… when Larry started doing that we never had another problem but it was becoming a big problem if he released the brake then tried to shift once it would shift the first time it would be fine from then on.

Don’t have a clue how right this info was but we never had the problem again unless he tried to shift after releasing the brake.

    Jon any logic to this?

When you sent the fuzzy dice they immediately went on the mirror.

When the car was sent for restoration they were placed in a safe spot, and before I hooked up after the acceptance test drive the dice were placed where they belong. Anyone that sees the car sees the dice.

    Thanks again.

Parliaments Open House is in full swing and attended by 35 coaches, all Prevost except a few. Having a good time, Ken and the gang are doing it up first class. I’ll be needing a diet after this.

Have you checked for heat ( the old feel method) on all that turns underneath or use temp gun? That sounds like somethings hot.

Thanks Peter, let me know if you have it.

Dick, no, I have a factory mounted switch which matches all the others that says Diff Lock. It activates the Electric valve which in turn by air pressure, activates the Differential lock.

I was spraying the brass fittings on the valve last night, looking for air leaks, and I could feel air blowing on my hand, and it was leaking from the yellow tube, the exhaust port.

David, the valve is located on the wall behind the chassis batteries towards the transmission side of the compartement.

Yes mainly only the Vantere high out put detroit have them to keep you from doing burn outs , you have to be careful if it enables a wheel stand front air bags may be damaged Were is this valve located ? would be great in some less than great traction situations
