That tracks with what I have been seeing…if my dash a/c is on and the compressor is running, my fan is on full time. When the compressor kicks out, the fan stops if engine temp is low enough. Sounds like it is working as intended. I agree that the newer engines will make it work even harder and will probably shorten the life of the clutch, but what can you do? Higher running temps are here to stay I think…

Thanks, Brady. I’ll bet the Hemi with the 8 speed trans is way more fuel efficient than mine with the 5 speed. Even though mine has cylinder deactivation, I average about 13mpg in combined city/highway. The best mileage I ever got was 16.8 on a 600 mile trip.
Did you have any issues attaching the base plate? What about lights. On my ’06 I ran separate wires to the rear and installed an additional set of bulbs in the taillights so I did not need to tap into the Jeep wiring. The taillights on the 2014 will not allow that extra bulb set up.

Bus barn we built is right next to house plugged in and ready at all times with everything we need. Eat out when we are on the road except snackies. Have 2 burner built in flush electric stove top in corion counter that has never been used. Wife says when that camper pulls out she’s on vacation.
Fridge is always stocked with beer and running.

You’ll are going to love the map. One quick look, you can plan your trip and decide which .10 discount location is the best deal for your trip.

Thanks Ronald, the more we get using the program the better for all.

Corey,
I’ve had both and really liked the Aqua-Hot, mainly the ability to have it set on electric and the bus can set inside my garage with the furnace on and keep the interior warm in the winter when needed.
Given a choice though, Webasto would be the winner for me. Mainly because there are a lot less items that can fail with the Webasto. My Royale had 5 pumps along with electric manifolds and all the other parts and pieces including the Webasto burner to go wrong. If you get a leak in the coils, you’re screwed, it’s going to be expensive.
Here’s what the coils look like:

The short answer is the longer wheel based entertainers provide a better ride and typically stay on major roads, so they don’t need the shorter wheelbase. FWIW, all new shells are only available in the longer wheelbase. Personally, I like the shorter wheelbase for turning. The rear overhang has never caused me an issue, unlike my 42-foot tag axle plastic coach.
I’m sure others can provide additional insights.

Jon and Tom, first of all, thanks for this program. I have sent my application, yesterday.
about the subject line, I am curious, whether participants must own a Prevost or if this is open to any Class A ?
I am assuming that the success of this program and its continuation into the future will in part depend on the number of participants. The program administrators are not doing this just to be nice to us. It is a business and somewhere they make a profit. Love’s for one will appreciate the extra diesel they will be selling.
Cheers,
Ronald

Only in a Marathon, right?

Dan,
Not sure if you have already thought of this…. But give Prevost Customer service a call… I had a Dash Air issue and was not near any of their service centers but they got a tech on the line to help trouble shoot the problem and then helped me find a place that could help me on my route… actually called them… explained the issue, made the appt for me and then followed up several times to make sure it all went well.
My bus is a 2007 and I am not the orginal owner… they didn’t care and I was blow away by that level of customer service….
So if you are still looking for a pro to look it over… you might give them a call and see if they can help…
Good Luck
Bill

I tried to enlarge the bus picture to see how the exterior side panels are attached.

Gil, I don’t know if you’re looking for trouble or not, but I got to agree. Plus the extra space makes room to store more dishes and utensils to wash by hand.

That’s too bad, but I suspect word of mouth at their Nashville rally will make members aware. All POG members are welcome to register here (for free) and take full advantage of the fuel discount program.
A 10 cent a gallon fuel savings is not something that can be kept secret for very long unless a Prevost enthusiasts does not participate in any activities or on the internet with other Prevost enthusuasts.
