Just returned from a run to the QT Truckstop with fuel card in hand and it works like a charm.

Swiped the card, entered my 4 digit vin as the unit/truck number, entered my PIN as the driver/employee number, pumped my fuel and out the drive. Total time maybe 10 minutes.

I do keep a fuel log, so just added the fuel price, quantity and pump number for the record.

WooHoo….. The days of the Truckstop shuffle are all over.

By the way, I could see them lined up at the fuel desk inside as I pulled away!

On another note, the cards are not credit or debit. The cards can only be used for diesel fuel and without the personal PIN and VIN, they are useless.

So if you lose your card, no worry about some dirtbag buying TV’s and taking trips to DC to watch the morons at work.

Just so you can continue the fuel program and other benefits we can bring you, spread the word and encourage participation. If you know anyone with a Prevost tell them about Prevost Community. Encourage them to register as members so they can participate in the fuel program and enjoy the other things Prevost Community offers.

If they belong to a Prevost group encourage them to spread the word among other members. We are not out to take members away from any group, but to be a supplement to that group. You can see how our greater numbers pays dividends and with your help and even greater participation Tom and I can offer even more programs and benefits.

Remember all of this works as long as Prevost Community has the members and the participation.

The best is yet to come.

I have asked Alicia of Profit Tools to explain the security that is in place for your personal information. As she responds either directly or through me it will be posted here.

But notice one thing. You have to FAX the application (or scan and email) because Profit is as concerned about security as we are and until their internet security is in place that will prevent hacking to get at applications.

Once you have the cards you will see you will only be able to use them to buy diesel fuel and after you swipe the card you have to supply your PIN which you create as well as your last four digits of your VIN. That means anyone stealing your card is unlikely to be a problem to you. We would urge that you use caution sharing your VIN on open forums, but even if you do a bad guy with your stolen fuel discount card still needs your PIN.

    Hello Prevost Community,

I figured I would write and introduce myself my name is Alicia and I am the Prevost Community Fuel Discount Program Administrator for the Fuel Discount Program.

The question has come up about security and as Jon stated security and discretion are kept in the highest regard and taken seriously here at Profit Tools.

We have been in business since 1995 and a leader in the Software for trucking industry. You can visit our website at http://www.profittools.net. As you can see we develop Software for the trucking industry which has to be very secure and accurate.

Please know that your identites and banking information are kept completely private and is locked up here; only the people necessary to see the information will. The fuel cards are set up to be very secure, if no one has your pin or vin, they cannot use the card.

I hope this helps ease some of the questions regarding this, if you would like more information and would feel more comfortable asking me directly through email or calling me please feel free to do so.

My email address is aallen@profittools.net and my direct number is 603-659-3822 x4327.

We are so excited to be a benefit to the Prevost Community Members and are looking forward to working with all of you.

    Thank You

    Alicia Allen

    Prevost Community Fuel Program Administrator

The real estate on the web pages is scarce so the button might not be obvious. The button that brings you to the program application is the blue one next to the NAPA button.

    Thanks for participating Wayne.

This program is going to be successful if most if not all PC members participate and buy a lot of fuel through the program. So if you haven’t signed up yet, have at it. The more the merrier.

Jon and Tom, first of all, thanks for this program. I have sent my application, yesterday.

about the subject line, I am curious, whether participants must own a Prevost or if this is open to any Class A ?

I am assuming that the success of this program and its continuation into the future will in part depend on the number of participants. The program administrators are not doing this just to be nice to us. It is a business and somewhere they make a profit. Love’s for one will appreciate the extra diesel they will be selling.

    Cheers,

    Ronald

We have an understanding with our program administrator Profit Tools in that the participation in the program is open to all PC members (a requirement) that have a qualifying conversion or motorhome.

We obviously would like it to be exclusive to coaches of a size and quality comparable or approaching that of a Prevost conversion so we have limited it to any bus conversion including by not limited to MCI, Eagle, GM, Van Hool, Setra, etc. as well as motorhomes on a Class 8 truck chassis. We are also allowing high end motorhomes because we know some PC members are owners of Newells, Monaco Signature, Bluebirds and the like, all large quality vehicles.

What we want to avoid however are smaller motorhomes not suited for fueling at the truck islands such as the entry level coaches with small diesel engines.

We are not trying to be snobs, it is just that our program is more beneficial on motorhomes that consistently take on more than 100 gallons of fuel at a time.

Hi Jon, thanks for spelling it out! All makes sense.

I know just the place where to promote this and am sure that PC will gain a few new members very soon!
