On slide coaches with pins (later models are called pinless, but they actually have a single pin in the floor) the fit of the pins is so accurate and tight that engaging and disengaging pins requires the chassis to be without a twist or distortion. If the chassis is distorted the pins will not be properly aligned with the holes in the slide.

If you can’t get comfortable with it by October it will be even more important to come to the rally.
Don’t forget…….every single person driving a Prevost was at one time a newbie and was intimidated by their coach.

Brady, I feel your pain. Mine has probably had half a dozen or more issues in my 6 years of coach ownership including problem(s) after my pdi. I’ve even replaced a front arm twice because the first one “from a batch with bad wiring” outlasted zip-dee’s warranty!
I previously owned a manual zip-dee and, of course, it was trouble free. This is a poor and very complex design. I’ve considered replacing mine with manual, but by the time you figure out what to cover the extra holes in your coach with and carefully weigh the convenience of the auto-awn vs the manual, I decided to stay with it. All I’ve had to do for a year to get mine to extend is to bump the rear arm at the right time in the extension sequence. Woo-hoo!
Jimmy at zip-dee IS very helpful and knowledgable. I would recommend you take a couple vallium and attack the issue with patience, scotch, and thoughtfulness.

There should be a delay relay in the rear run box above the engine for the dash air and maybe there is a relay for the CC coach air compressor as well.

A man next to my yard mixes diesel and used automatic fluid at a 50 / 50 mix runs through one filter and runs it in his ford 7.3 electronic,, his race car toter 60 series detroit ,, and his prevost 8v92 . he lets the atf set in a 500 galon plastic drum for about a week and all bad settles to the bottom than he mixes it with off road since the atf is red also filters it as he puts it in vehical. his cost is just under two bucks a gallon . He has been doing this for years. and has not had any thing go bad. He dose have a trans repair shop .

I don’t have a photo, but open the door on the evaporator. Inside the door behind the vent through the door should be a cap over an air intake. I think there is also a flapper or butterfly valve you have to open. If you can’t find it I will take a photo of the one on my coach but I think it is slightly different than on an XL.

I am not sure that this will provide you a great answer, but I believe it will supply a workable answer for an emergency. If you have the same gates as are installed in my coach, there are gate adjustments on either side of the gate (longish threaded rods with hex nuts). Sorry I don’t have a picture. I believe that this adjustmenst can be backed off a considerable distance and would allow you to manually lift the gate. Work space is really tight and I recommend a good assortment of extensions and universal swivels.
This is good to know because if you ever get to the point that you find water dripping near the sewer hook up, or you find the sewer hook up is full of water when you open it to connect to your ground pipe, it is likely that these gates need adjustment so they close tight.

All of us that have Cruiseairs behind the bumper know they can come in and out. The problem is to figure out what is blocking the removal.
It is not uncommon to have to take a bunch of things apart just to get what you really want to work on out. And the newer the coach the harder it is to even see some of the components, much less get at them for service.

I removed the bumper and front screen, this is what I am looking at from the front through the opening. Yes they went in somehow, but it is to tall to come out as it sits unless I am missing something. Here are a couple of pictures viewing the front opening. BTW, the bottom is solid foam insulation from the factory days.
I don’t know why, but the second picture ended up upside down and I couldn’t fix it. Sorry.
Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Got here about 3:00 today, pouring rain, bus not shiney anymore. The good news, sunshine is on the way tomorrow.

Watchdog is a proprietary Liberty device. Unfortunately when it fails there are only two options. Remove it and manualy start the generator using the procedure Liberty outlines on a placard, or have Liberty provide a repair or replacement.
Back in the good old days of our first coach if a person had a WW Grainger catalog everything could be repaired or replaced. But back in the good old days the coaches were nowhere near as capable as they are today.

We love the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area.
If all the busses are going to convoy to Jon’s house to take turns backing up his driveway I might consider stopping in.

Those buses are really going to shine because Truk has offered to wash them all. What a guy!
But don’t come to the rally just for the free bus wash. The Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area has endless things for everyone to do. There is a large and very good community of crafts artists for those interested in unique items. The area has many theaters for evening entertainment. The more active folks can do Zip-lines or hike the Smokies.
Ripley’s has an excellent aquarium in the heart of Gatlinburg. For the kids at heart Dollywood has a wide range of amusement rides, but we love going there to see the craftsmen make soap, do wood carving, blacksmithing, and to enjoy the live entertainment throughout the park.
Bring a canoe or kayak and enjoy the French Broad River. If you have a motorcycle you have to ride the “Dragon”.
If you haven’t yet signed up now is the time. One thing is for sure. You will not lack for things to do when in Sevierville. Did I mention right next to the RV park is a huge tool store. a large store dedicated to knives and an outlet for Lodge cast iron cookware? And just down the road is a large and varied outlet mall?
This is going to be fun.
