JOHN KLOPP
We learned today of the passing of John Klopp. That is very sad news and John will be missed.
John was our resident air conditioning expert and often contributed his thoughts on the topic.
John’s brother Peter has asked if anyone knows of the location of John’s coach. John spoke of a storage facility in Nashville and we are seeking any information about the coach’s whereabouts. If anyone knows where the coach is, or how it might be located please contact us at admin@prevostcommunity.com and we will pass that information on to John’s brother.

I spoke to John’s brother Peter and we have a line of communication going. I did remember John talking to me from his bus one time and he told me he kept it in a warehouse in Nashville and when he was there for work, he lived in it while inside the building. I mentioned that to his brother and they are going to try to contact his past employer from Nashville and maybe they can shed some light. If anyone can help, please contact Jon or myself.
I told his brother not to worry about the bus, all the Prevost Community folks will do their best to help find the location and then we will secure it so the family won’t have to deal with it during these tough times.
John died of a heart attach and according to his brother, did not suffer. We will miss him.

I am very sorry to hear about John’s passing,this is really not important but a couple of years ago I sent John a cruise air condensing unit so that he could find a improved condenser for it,I asked about the progress a year or so ago and he stated that he was making progress,if anyone can help me get the unit back I would appreciate it.

This is the bus we are seeking. It is believed to be in a warehouse somewhere in or near Nashville. All help and information would be greatly appreciated.

I thought of Prevost also, but John pretty much kept to himself, so I kind of discarded the idea. Anything is possible though.

As I remember John, he did consulting work? Perhaps if a prior employer were known , one of his contacts or associates at that venue, might be able to shed some light, or a campground that he had been known to stay at , such as Belle Terre for OyterFest might have his garaging address…….or insurance? Sadness.

John, joined us when 4 other buses attended the FMCA rally in Indy. Jon’s W. bus and ours were parked side by side and extending the awnings gave us some sun protection for all to bring their lawn chairs together. We had a great time sharing tall tales, adult beverages and several meals.
John was very knowledgeable in many things related to buses both function and technical but especially A/C.
Sad to hear of this very nice man passing.

I spoke with John within the last few months. He stated that he was working in Michigan. Close to Detroit as I recall. He did not mention his bus, so I am sure of its current location. However, when he worked in Nashville, he mentioned to me that part of his deal with his current (Nashville) employer was a storage location in Nashville. Perhaps, his past employer could shed some light on the location of the bus.
I was under the impression that he had quit the Nashville job and returned to California. His latest employment was recent.
I am overwhelmed to hear of his passing. I will surely miss our conversations.

The coach may not be in a warehouse, but may be in a site……….
.into a facility…open air but under a roof….concrete slab with power to plug into….it had other coaches parked in it…..looked like it was in the country….it was outside Nashville”
Is there anyone in the Nashville area that can point us towards sites that match or are as described above?

I have emailed the GTC Supply in La Vergne,TN this is the location that I shipped the Cruise Air to in 2011,I called them and the phone system answered and then when I pressed 1 or 2 it disconnected me so I emailed them in hope that someone is still responding,they might be shut this week for vacation.

I got a call from Kevin Bishop of GTC and he was surprised to hear of John’s passing,he said that he thinks that the bus is in the Detroit area as John was working for General Dynamics in Detroit.He also stated that he rememered the cruise air that I shipped and it is now stored in one of the bays of the bus.I would think that a family member needs to find a employee that worked with John and try to persue the Bus location from that angle,his Bank or credit card statements could also reveal the location of the storage facility.
