Prevost Jax Pressure Test
If you ever wandered how they checked for air and water leaks, this is how it’s done. Big pieces of foam keep the fan from harming any paint. They were checking the driver side window I had replaced because of wind noise. It’s now better.

An alternate to that (which I’m surprised you did not do) is to remove the plate blocking outside air from entering the OTR evaporator and then run the bus with the OTR on with the fan on the highest speed.
That brings in ample outside air into the coach and if all windows are closed as well as the ceiling vents you can do a complete leak check.
If I ever suspect I have loose panels or wind noise I plan on doing that without ever having to drive to a service center.

Great idea, Jon. Something like that would have saved me the $108 at Jax for the test, which I should have taken picures of. Tom so smart!

Not my idea. Prevost has done leak checks in that manner.
As to diagnosing your own leaks (as relates to skin delamination) those tests have to be done by Prevost so if there is a skin delamination issue they can document it properly and report the findings to Canada for a determination on how much they will participate financially on the repairs.

I’ve got a minor roof water leak I’m chasing. Do you have a photo or description of the outside air intake cover to which you’re referring?

I don’t have a photo, but open the door on the evaporator. Inside the door behind the vent through the door should be a cap over an air intake. I think there is also a flapper or butterfly valve you have to open. If you can’t find it I will take a photo of the one on my coach but I think it is slightly different than on an XL.

I figured Mark would pick up on the photo, but that nasty blue lift is what I suspect damaged my panel. There goes Mark getting a good night sleep!
