You don’t need that wrench you can use a box end wrench from snap on also if it will go on , I think 12 point will work too, you can also use a socket but it is hard to get it on and take bolt out because of the solenoid in the way but you might be able to break it lose that way if you can get socket on the bolt try some different wrenches or sockets first before you buy that wrench from snap on . I think you could also take the solenoid off first then the bolt would be easy for you to get off , I have never done it that way but might work for you need to see starter first to know . When you replace it replace it with the Mitsubishi starter from prevost it’s much lighter and better and is what the newer coaches come with

Actually that is a delaying tactic to verify you meet their standard and the coach is newer than 10 years.

When I was in business why couldn’t I reat customers like I was doing them a favor? Wouldn’t that have been nice?

Congrats on the new bus. I just looked at your 2001 in the for sale section. She is a very nice bus. Great layout, color scheme and most of all, I like the fact that it has a King bed. Pam and I are starting to think that an H3 with a King will be in our future. For now we are just lookie Lou’s.

    Enjoy your new bus.

are the hoses to the heater getting hot? If not is there any valves that are turned off in the coolant circuit? If the hoses are hot is there 12v or 120v on the heater fan terminals? If not recheck circuit breakers or switches. Is there a GFI in the electrical circuit that may be popped.

Don’t believe Mark. Where he lives he is awakened by the cracking sounds a house makes as the temperature drops below zero. He hears the music of snowmobiles running all night. He sees the display of sparks and hears the sounds of a V blade snow plow truck going past the house at all hours of the night. Right now he wishes he could hear the music made by a mosquito as it gets ready to bite him, but they are all frozen solid, like his pipes.

    George,

After i pushed reply. I realized you were saying basement. Yes we have a basement resident vac system and two cruise airs. Replaced the Residential unit this summer. I believe this is def a start capacitor because i can hear the system try and start. But we are also starting to think it might be froze up.

    Thoughts.

Off topic a little, but I stand on the side of owners that doesn’t wait for my pressure to build before I go to high idle.

How do I dare be so careless? Easy. First I have never thrown a belt. When I do throw my first belt I will perhaps change my tune, but so far in 25 years so far, so good. I do notice one thing and I may be wrong. All of my coaches had OTR and the people who have reported thrown belts did not have OTR. Correct me if I am wrong.

My justification for going to high idle after a minute of low idle is to speed up the airing up of the coach. When I consider all the seated coaches with low or zero air pressure that often are always in high idle I never hear or read or learn of a seated coach throwing a belt while air pressure builds. So why should we pressurize the belt tensioners before starting? The seated coach drivers cannot do that.

    Tommy,

I’m near Boston now, but as soon as I get home and look at my calendar I’ll confirm the dates. Right now I am thinking it is the 21st thru 25th in January.

    Jon,

Are you saying that you bought a box of 50? Would you like to sell some? We would need 8….

    Let me know.

Pam & I are planning a west coast trip in 2017. Family and friends in NoCal & Oregon. I was planning on a swing to Junction Or to visit the buses birthplace. Looks like things may be different.

We already felt like an orphan as the old CC was gone. Had hopes to still be able to some support from the new CC. Now that Winnebago will be in charge, my gut says no. Maybe they will or maybe they won’t, I guess I won’t know unless another CC prevost owner goes there before we do.

like the bus we have and admire the work their folks put in it. I just hope they can support us.

i appriciate the feedback. I talked to some folks about both providers. Dish folks are pretty satisfied as are the direct tv folks. Since I am set on being able to have a portable HD as well as my roof mount I think getting the traveler and portable will be my plan. The tracstar will come off and I’ll post it for sale/parts soon.

    Thanks
