Broke Down Near New Orleans
Posted by Archived on June 15, 2014 at 8:38 pmI’m posting for Red, he needs to have new house batteries and is near New Orleans. I can get the batteries to him, but he needs someplace to swap them out. One or more of his house batteries have failed.
Anyhelp for Red would be appreciated…

Tom, who are the POG members that have the Newell coach that live in Houma, La.
Trish and ? I can’t remember. his name. They could probably help.

Tuga & Karen, but they’re out of the bus business, so not sure anymore.

If he is out this way just off I-10 in Lafayette (just past I-49 exit) is Billy Thibodeaux RV Repair…. (337) 233-7494…. He may be able to help…. He has been in this business 25 years and just changed a Cruise Air compressor and upgraded lower bay tv change out for me..

Red,
When we were at the Casino I saw a mobile RV repair truck in there seversl times. Worst case scenerio you could use him to do the heavy lifting of the batteries. Just might get you back on the road. Ask the lady in the office, she probably has a list of locals that could help, at least lend a strong back to the effort.

Thanks Andre, we found a place about 25 miles from here and im having the batteries shipped there. They will bring them here and install them. This gives us more chances to make donations at the casino. Hah I bet thats how they get rv people to stay longer and lose more money. I got my fingers crossed both about the batteries and my luck at the casino but i think the batteries is a better bet ! Old buddy Tom is in charge of those. i hope LOL.

Red:
Sounds like a better option anyway and hope this works out, if the casino doesn’t get all your money!!. I talked to Billy this am as he is swamped and working alone this summer.. must be too many coaches around here….
-
Yup too many broken coaches anyway. Oh well at this stage Im just glad we came back to the coach before the damn thing burnt down ! That could have been ugly ! Our cockatiel Larrybird wouldnt have tasted good either. I do appreciate all your help and hope we will have good news in a few days. Hey at least we are in a nice campground with access to all those wonderful slot machines . life is really pretty good afterall LOL

I think we all appreciate your sense of humor in what would be a stressful and difficult situation.

Batteries, what batteries Red?:)
I managed to explain to Lifeline the absolute importance of getting this guy with the funny accent batteries in a big hurry in order to reduce his time at the Casino. Patti is very worried that a prolonged stay could have an adverse effect on their piggy bank. So Lifeline snagged the batteries from another order and will ship today.
Anything for Patti……. Red who?
