I saw this coach listing and was curious. I contacted the seller, not sure if it is the same person now listing the coach on Ebay.

    Below are three email exchanges:

    Hey,

My name is Mandy Webb and I’m the owner of the 2003 Prevost Marathon XL40, and I will sell for $47,000. This coach is in excellent condition. This coach has obviously been well cared for and garage kept. The title is clean and clear (under my name) without any liens or encumbrances. It has no leaks or drops. Owner’s manual and full-service records included. I am selling it at this final price of $47,000 because my husband died 2 months ago (he had a heart attack) and it brings me bad memories, along with my daughter we decided to sell the house and we moved trying to start a new life. If you are interested in buying it or if you have any questions, please reply to this email.

    Thank you and God Bless!

    Hello again,

As I told you in my first email, after my husband died, I moved to another city (Butte, Montana) and took a new job. Coach is here and is already at Butte’s shipping company, sealed and ready for shipment. My presence will not be necessary because I have arranged the agreement with eBay. The shipping cost is included in the total price of the coach, because I have a FREE promotional shipping with eBay and I intend to use it. You will have 5 days to try before making any purchase, and if, for whatever reason, you find something you do not like, you can send it back at my expense. If you are interested in learning more about how the whole process works, I can ask eBay to send you an email with more information on how to buy it. eBay will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information you need to complete this business and you will also have proof that they are covered by them and a legitimate seller. If you are serious about buying the coach, please reply with your full name, delivery address and phone number so I can send them to eBay to open a case about our business. After that, they will send you an invoice with more details about payment, transport and insurance and will explain better the whole procedure.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks, Mandy Webb

Have a business associate that’s pretty high up in the Dometic marine side. He told me they sold most of their inventory to AAP when Dometic closed out Cruiair. He also said they send/recommend AAP to any Dometic customers with the old Cruisair units.

For those that are OK with an ACV Policy, I too added the bus to my Allstate with home, cars and excess liability. They used the internet to find a value for the policy which was better than what I was looking for and the premium went from 41000 agreed value to 23000.

Not for everyone, but worked for me.

DICK: I agree with Jon; you should have gotten a low coolant warning. Have it checked.

When I owned my 1990, I got stuck on the road with a low coolant light caused by a defective low coolant light module. Took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to rewire to bypass the warning to get going. Fixed later but someone may have done that to your coach previously or your system is bad.

I wish it were the overflow.

I put five gallons in this morning to get mine to 40% of the sight glass. So I don’t think my problem is the overflow.

A Georgia Cracker freight hauler didn’t believe me, I’m devastated.

Well I’ll tell you boy’s I will run off my inverters till the cows come home.

My old bus at 100,000 miles I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I turned on my generator to run my airs going down the road and can’t count the amount of times I cycled a roof air or toe kick heater at a overnight casino or rest stop instead of cloggng up my generator because it’s running not loaded.

I’ll do the same with my new one. I will run what they give me so you boy’s go ahead and start your generators.

Both my H’s had the master switch, I never heard any type air when the switch was turned on. The belt bellows didn’t get air until the key was turned on.

good point, but I think there’s a crossmember directly in front of the pan which may offer some protection.

Joel: I like the retarder, I use it all the time. But on long, steep grades the trans temp gets higher than Jon says it should be. So I thought having both would give me flexibility, redundancy, backup, and added capacity.

Those are all the excuses I am using to get the Jake brake added.

The real reason … I like the sound it makes.

Roy, I do use the generator if the 50DN pukes. Every converter did things different relating to charging house and chassis. Liberty Elegant Lady Coaches typically use a single 24V 50DN, but the same model year Classic is likely to use a 50DN for the chassis (because of OTR), and a Liberty installed 12V alternator for the house.

Even the same converter as shown above has different ways to provide battery charging so every owner has to learn how his systems are charged and determine how to cope with problems should any occur.

As to the chassis battery charger, I am using the Liberty installed Guest. I rarely use it, but if the 50DN dies I will use it to keep us going until the end of our trip.
