Go, Go as far as you can. You never know when the other shoe will fall and you will be glad you got on the road and enjoyed life. Make memories, meet people, see new places and don’t let the little problems that come along get you down. It is a big conuntry with plenty to see and do. As I get older, it is a lot less about collecting things, it is more about collecting menories and friends that I can look back on when I can’t get out of the rocking chair anymore.
Good luck, safe travels and happy times.

My wife & I have been “fulltiming” it since November 2015. We love it!
After 35 years of living in a home and going to work, I know what that’s about and, will no doubt, return to a regular home with an RV in a couple years … or more.
We love to travel our beautiful country, volunteer in areas we’ve never seen, and work on the family farm. Is it for everyone … No! But as long as you and your bride make a comittment to travel a little while, with an exit plan if indeed you don’t like it, then you’ll be fine. And since you kept your house, you already have an exit plan!
Really, the only thing you’re out is the purchase of your Bus and, since you already have one, what are you waiting for 🙂
Hope to meet you down the road …

Dave…
We retired and sold the house & most of our accumulated “stuff” 4+ years ago. Best thing we’ve ever done. Met some wonderful folks (and a few “stinkers”) along the way, stayed in some really beautiful places, and some places we’ll not venture back to. But we’re making memories every day. Being able to be truly “infinitely flexible” with our time and travel plans has allowed a true sense of freedom for us. As Tim said, the lifestyle is not for everyone, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Sounds like you’ve planned well…now’s the time to put the plans in motion!!
Looking forward to meeting you guys out there somewhere…

Dave,
Not sure what your timing finally is, but one of the things you may want to consider is planning to attend a rally or non-rally rally fairly soon after your launch to full time. PC has several coming up…Driggs, ID for the solar eclipse (Aug – I think there are still slots open) and the BusBoys get together in Evansville, IN mid Sept. Other organizations may have some coming up as well. The point is to get out & meet other folks who are & have been doing what you are just getting started with. If either of you are having reservations, the “Thank God, I’m not nuts for having done this” factor needs positive reinforcement as soon as possible, and attending one of these or an Escapees Escapade or rally is an excellent way to accomplish that. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to drop me an email (click on my name – upper right) and we’ll respond. Good luck…
Strong tailwinds & smooth landings…
