What a mess. Never heard of emissions testing of pre EPA era diesel engines. No such thing in OR and we are at the bleeding edge of environmentalism.
With respect to shops, if it does not feel right, I leave.
Looking at the bright side (if there is one). if this was your original muffler it was due for replacement anyway.
They are not difficult to replace yourself if you put a jack under the muffler to lift it into place.

How about this scenario. No unusual wear on steers. Rotate to tag at 3 years and new steers. Replace drives as needed or timed out. This way you would have new steers every 3 years (IMHO the most important placement). I have all 315’s however I don’t think this would be different for those running 2 different sizes.

Jeff, the cheap “baby moon” chrome hubcaps for the front axle cost less than $10 apiece at the truck bling store.

I would disagree with presuming in a panic stop your finger can get the jake turned on as quick as needed. I would urge the alternate is to leave it on all the time, and only turn it off when you elect to do some coasting. Then your stopping distance is not affected by your finger’s accuracy in poking at a switch that might not be in your direct field of view.

If you are using a “cheater” to plug your 50 amp into two 30 amp plugs, the problem could be in the cheater itself. There could be a wire loose or crossed.

right up up over my left shoulder when I’m in the driver seat there is a small breaker pad with cutoff s for all 4 of our cruise airs. I sometimes forget about them and have bumped 1 when getting set up , running the slide out, etc. .
Its worth taking a look to see if you might have the same setup.Chris

We’ve stayed at Ruby’s near Zion and Portal (new section) at Moab. Both just fine. Portal is usually full so book well ahead. Just up the road from Arches. Canyonlands is awesome. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area. Hwy. 12 is breathtaking.

Tom spends the dues money as if there is no end to it. He builds an expensive home and now he is sending checks to Rudy. In the meantime I am sweating in the hot sun in TN having to grow my own food.
If I see Tom buying a coach with slides for Nancy I’m going to call for an audit of the dues money account.

Mine is. 2002 prevost shell , brake chambers changed at 100,000 miles fall of 2014 so they have rolled down the road for two years now , never a problem , I am in a in depth talk with Benndix engineers right now they will get back to me today will let u guys know what they say

We had the Bus at Tradewinds in DeLand. Told them the story. They said it sounded like a bleeder valve was open. They tightned the valve and the generator has run perfectly ever since. Better then it ever has for us. Such a simple solution.

OK I am not going to refer to you as an OLD Man as my parents taught me to respect my elders. I will leave the mud slinging to you and Tom.
I will tell you that my coach stays completely comfortable with Dash air and two roof tops. My wife and kids generally have jackets or are walking around with blankets in the middle of the summer. I like it cold 68-70 at home and the bus is the same. The way Marathon ducts the air I use the salon AC up front because of all the heat from the glass and the Bed/Bath as the second which covers the back of the bus.
I have never “had ” to run the Geny to stay cool but do run it just to excerise it. In which case I fire up all four roof tops and then were talking serious cold everyone is complaining… but I am the driver.
