We live in the country on a paved town road; two lanes, modest crown, no gutter, narrow shoulders, shallow ditches (that I keep the coach out of. I back the coach down the driveway and into its parking spot. Four out of 5, 5 out of 6 times I do it without having to go forward to move the front end or the back in over a few feet. We have good under coach clearance as long as the coach is fully aired up and set to “Road”.
A couple of weekends ago we brought the new 26′ race trailer home behind the bus. It was still light out so I decided to see if I could back everything in. I only had to go forward three times to get the trailer properly positioned in its parking spot next to the coach. I suspect that with experience I’ll back the trailer into its parking spot using one single backward motion. The neighbors were out in their yard when we did this. They all came over and were impressed.
BTW … Cathie spots for me when I’m backing the trailer, but I’m to the point of being solo when its just the coach.
One of the deal killers in our search for a 45′ coach was having independent front suspension (IFS). I’ve driven a straight axle (40′) only on one trip (with a 24′ trailer) and didn’t get into tight quarters, so I don’t have a good feel for how manuverable those coaches are. But sitting in the driver’s seat and turning the wheel full lock to one side I’m alway impressed that it seems like the front end of the coach is literally moving sideways.
The driveway leads directly to the race shop. The pad for the coach, trailer, and Suburban is to the east of the garage so both the trailer and the coach have to be swung over to get into their spaces. After using all of this since last November, I wish I had extended the concrete of the parking pad further down the driveway than I did. Its a little tight once in a while. If you want a schematic/drawing of what I have, let me know and I’ll put something together so you have it to reference to.
So … in your search for a property … think about configuring the driveway so you can back down the driveway rather than having a huge concrete area for turning the coach around. You’ll save a ton of money on site prep and concrete and have much less driveway to shovel, blow, or plow when it snows. You’ll also have more yard to enjoy. Take all the money you save and spend it with Jeff Rowe at East Tennessee Luxury Coach. You’ll enjoy money spent with Jeff more than money spent with the concrete guy.

What a coincidence Geo….we were all remarking how you were old and lazy…
I suspect that is one of the requirements for membership in PC.

If that line goes to the gov’ner and the leaking stops when pressure in the line is reduced, sounds like it would be a leak in that line or the gov, ner??? I’ll wait till you check a schematic but I’ll see if I can find one on Prevost. Is the gov’ner replaceable?

It’s not unusual to get the wrong belt for the fan drive, 10 groove instead of 12. I doubt your belt lost two ribs, someone probably put the wrong belt on. If it’s shredding a belt, that’s pretty easy to see in the engine area.
FWIW, that gates 12 groove is hard to find, so not surprised the Napa guy couldn’t sort it out. Here’s a cross reference:
827K12 K Series Serpentine Belt Replacement Belt For: K120827, Dayco 5120827, Napa 25-120827, Napa 25120827, Goodyear 4120827, Bando 12PK2100

Al I believe you have the wrong part number, the part number is. This is the one prevosts sells for my bus and it should be the same for Karl’s

Did you buy the H from Liberty………your first post sounds like you did. Now it sounds like you bought it through a broker. HUGE difference.

If I rermember correctly, the shades in our 96 Liberty ran off a GFI controlled outlet. Look to see if any of the GFI tripped. I do not remember where the GFI reset was on that circuit.

Lorreta Lynn’s RV park/home/museum is at exit 143 in Hurricane Mills which is east of Jackson. Go north on hwy 13. It’s about 7 miles off of Interstate-40 but it’s fun to see. The RV park was a little tight but had pull-through’s. Lorretta Lynn’s older Prevost was parked in the RV park and you could rent it like a cabin. I think it’s been removed.
They have another bus in the museum that she used while touring.

All those values are exactly what would have been expected so obviously it is reading as expected. The summer time pressure increase of around 15 PSI and the tire temps all being similar is consistent with temps and pressures I have seen.
While the various monitors we have on our coaches are valuable in reporting out of range conditions, any time something alerts me to a potential problem my first reaction is to verify the monitor is accurate. Most of the time it has been the monitor that has had a glitch (such as the Vanner electrical monitor) so any time an out of range or departure from normal is shown it will not hurt to verify it.

Truk, I posted another picture for Liberty guy’s showing access door so they don’t miss it. That should cover near and far vision.
-
It is going to be harder to access the drawers if you raise it up due to the bay door…I like Jons way of mounting the drawer bank on the floor of the bay slide out and then the tool box on top of that..

For those who are comfortable with on-line access to Prevost manuals for their coach all can be accessed any time via the Prevost publications page. They will be specific to your coach and if you wish to go further the same page will get you access to wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, parts suppliers documentation, recalls, service bulletins, etc.

Diane,
I went on the AF1 website and Foretravel and Motorhomes of Texas are both listed as certified installers. There are quite a few Texas installers listed but noticed those two in Nacogdoches. If they put em in maybe they could do the removal.
