Jon you mention earlier world trans had tendency to exhibit problems.

What is the cut off for the early models? If you have a time frame or some criteria would be great to have to evaluate my unit.

Yes. Had a local repair person look at it and diagnosed partially restricted evaporator coils and suggested I get a new one, which I did. However, in the past I had a bad evaporator fan replaced (which was a no-brainer) and several people on the forum have reported issues with defrost timers etc which were also minor repairs. Did this happen all of a sudden or sorta creep up on you or did you have the fridge off and restart?

On our Marathon the Webasto heat exchanger fans are controlled by the same thermostats as the electric toekick heaters (Cadet) plus there is a dedicated thermostat above the passenger seat. Turn on “12V heat” and adjust the Honeywell thermostats to call for heat and off you go. If you have a “High Heat” button it will run the heat exchanger fans in fast (noisy) mode.

    DKO,

I don’t have a Vantare, but my plumbing bay heat exchanger for the Aqua-Hot has a thermostat located on the opposite side of the bus in the opposing plumbing bay. So somewhere you most likely have a thermostat that is calling for heat.

When the inverters see shore power they are not inverters, but battery chargers. The power going to them passes through them to the circuits that they power when inverting, and the power to them is also being used to charge the batteries.

When shore power is disconnected the inverters stop charging the batteries, and instead draw power from the batteries, change it to 120 volt AC and send that power to the circuits they are connected to such as the refrigerator or TV.

There is not enough information to begin to suggest what might be wrong, if in fact there is anything wrong. Are the inverters turned on? Are there any switches in the coach that need to be on for them to function? Did they work previously, and if so did anyone do anything that might have stopped them from functioning? It is highly unlikely two inverters decide to quit working simultaneously.
