I suggest you look at as many as you can, even if they aren’t exactly what you’re looking for. It will build your knowledge of the buses, the converters, the layouts, and what is taken care and what isn’t. You will see things that may change your initial criteria (which can be bad and make your seach take longer 🙂
I’m fortunate to live a short drive from Premium and as much as I try not to be a burden, Chad may be tired of seeing me, but knowledge is good :-). He knows exactly what I want and if he finds one before I do he will have a very quick and easy sale.
There is so much to learn about them, the more reps you get the better. Spend time talking to/emailing these guys that have had several of them already – they have superb insight.

On my 99 XLV it’s in the grey box in the engine area at the very top toward the left of center, it is relay #76. My was behind a second panel that Marathon may have put in, It was held up by 4 screws which took about 1 minute to remove. Pulled #76 and it did the trick, easy job and now I should not have people to tell me to stop riding the breaks. Thanks for the information guys.

I am not sure what you are starting out with to convert, however you need to have a clue about weight and layout of a coach to some amount before jumping on this path….Are you planning on doing a conversion yourself?????

It is not that bad batteries damage anything as much as they show as a problem with a lot of our components besides the inverters. They make the battery displays read so wrong we think they are bad, they can make us think we have an equalizer issue. There are long threads on the forum in which an owner posted a strange problem and a number of us responded immediately to separate and test the batteries.
The owner with the problem was sure it was elsewhere because the batteries were almost new or they had been checked or whatever, but after many posts and days it finally turns out one or more batteries had gone bad and a new set cured the problem, sometimes after serious money was spent by an owner that was unaware of how problems get masked.
More than one owner has replaced inverters presumed to be bad when the real problem was one or more of the batteries in a set.
This applies to house or chassis batteries.

Great place and people for Cruise Air work!
I have also shipped a Condensing unit there for repair. It was returned in 2 days with good results.
They also installed a basement central unit in a previous Bus I had to replace the old RVAC unit.

Of course you could factor in days away from home. Hotel costs verses rv park fees. And how much boondocking you might do in travels. Rest areas for the night traveling , etc.

in the Marathon world an XLII equipped with what they call “Canadian heat pkg” gives you 4 cruise airs and the added benefit of heat strips helping the heat pumps to warm in cold weather. An unassisted heat pumpkin a cruise air will cut out heating around 45 degrees. If they’re assisted with the heat strip, we found ours operated down into the teens and lower.. -

I am not a man but we went through the same vibes a few years back…. we went from 4 slides to 2 and had no problems at all and had we not wanted slides that wouldn’t have been a problem either. I guess what I am really trying to say is the difference is just unbelievable.. when Larry got behind the wheel of our ’98 H he was in heaven… then when I drove it I was like “wow”… just so very different from any other coach…. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Only you can make the “final” call …. good luck to you with that.
