It is a major NO-NO to weld on a truck chassis or frame. Most trucks will have labels that forbid welding because it changes the characteristics of the frame metal.
Because of that most truck and school bus bodies are bolted or riveted to the chassis frame rails.
I am sure the professional truckers on here will echo my comments.

Don:
This is very helpful, very helpful. As I’m coming to understand how Liberty wired all this stuff, I can see where additional placarding, labeling, and outlining would be helpful.
This question might be thread creap and might be a good topic for a separate thread (feel free to start one if you’re so inclined) … do you recall what the cost was to upgrade to the pure sine wave Magnums? What the install pretty straight forward? Did you loose any functionality? Gain any? If one of my current inverters is tango uniform, now might be the time to move into the 21st century. Or … repair of the old inverter might not be a big deal.

Jeff, are you sure that inverter inverts when there is incoming AC?
If I remember those inverters had a Potter Brumfield relay that just passed incoming power through to the panel and also the incoming power was fed into the charger side. It seems like a few tests with a voltmeter could narrow the issue down. Verify incoming power via the green lights on the panel. Then turn off both inverters at the panel and let the house batteries rest for a while and measure voltage, then turn on the bad one and measure voltage at the house batteries again to see if the charger side of the inverter is functioning

I’ve come to realize in my time that true honesty is rare. And so, I’ve learned to get good at “interpreting” advertisements. I look at the photos very hard. If the photos are crap, I try to figure out why. Is it a private seller? Or a “dealer?” A dealer with crappy photos is hiding something. if other ads show the engine and one doesn’t – they are hiding it. Is the price in line with what you expect? If it’s skewed too far either way something is wrong. I’ve been able to find some really cherry items by looking closely at ads.I also know know the good stuff goes immediately.
And even if you find an honest dealer – they are selling merchandise…it’s nothing more than that to them. Sometimes they just overlook stuff.
but yes – you are right – there are a lot of dishonest people out there. They’ll just lie to make the deal. Probably it works on a lot of people. The bus is so big and impressive many people probably miss a lot – so the sales technique must work. If it didn’t work, dishonest sales people wouldn’t last. But they do so….
the world is a changing but… at least you aren’t.

Count me in Jon, I’ll be there for sure! As for Fred and that discount stuff (teachers pet), others could have been first if he wasn’t! What?
Oh and the 30th is my birthday so let Fred eat cake!
