    LUC. i have a water softner. and feed the di tanks from the softner. i rent the tanks from our culligan company. i do all my cars and trucks. my tanks last me way over 12 months sometimes 24. our water in the desert areas very hard.

    The reason for pressure caps is twofold. First, by keeping the cooling system under pressure it raises the boiling point of the coolant. Theoretically we will not be running at our coaches with coolant temperature at the boiling point. The second purpose is to relieve pressure if it exceeds a value the engineers thought was an excessive pressure. In reality we should never exceed that pressure because when it opens we lose coolant.

    Thanks for your thoughtful reply and VERY generous offer!

    We keep our 1yr Dutch Star (yes, considering a Prevost for our next coach) in Vegas, while we live full time in Chicago. We travel to the DS and use it in the SW during winter; and more northerly in the summer months

    We’re in Vegas now, back to Chicago first of April; then back out here in May .. for trips to Arches and then Heber Valley near SLC

    Hope to cross paths with you sometime 🙂

    Yes she is a classic liberty, still many things to learn about her. I am beginning to think that the problem is in circuit board in the first bay. I will keep looking.
