It is not designed as a backup system air system. It is exactly like the brake system on your car. Front and rear as 2 separate systems with a common operation device (the brake pedal). The purpose of the parking brake is to apply when there is not enough air to apply the brakes. Either the front or rear can release the parking brake. Since that system will have air pressure to operate the brakes. The 2 part or side brake system became a Federal Mandate in the late 60’s.

Unfortunately, it does not operate as you had hoped.

I was able to get it fixed , have used Tom in the past. So a couple of things I’m confused about. There is no “ Main “ and “Back up” air systems , merely front and rear ? I was told the brakes would lock up if not supplied with air , in my case the coach rolled freely until the front tank bled down and the emergency brake deployed and would not reset.

Jeez Dick, tall boots aren’t going to be enough to wade through this, I’m going to have to go break out some chest waders.

If travel north a couple of hours, we’re in Grafton, just west of I-43. You’re more than welcome to go for a ride in our coach.

Mark, this is a guess but to me it looks like it is reading transmission fluid temp. If you have an owner’s manual or access the one on line on the Prevost site that should provide a description of what the graphic shows.

While this may not be the total answer relating to the 365 tire decoupling groove tears, lifting the tag on sharp slow speed turns may help avoid or prevent the problem.

But remember, on our longer coaches with considerable overhang such as XLII coaches lifting the tag will drop the rear and before lifting the tag make sure that drop of the rear of the coach is not going to cause a bigger issue, such as a dragging hitch on the ground such as what might happen if there is a sharp incline like a driveway. You do not want the weight of the rear of the coach to be pushing on the engine cradle.

    Jim & Chris,

We had a mix of DOT years on our coach. We had two 2014’s on the front,

one 2013 and one 2012 on the tag, and four 2012 on the drive. We were

planning to replace the 2012s and the 2013 this summer.

On our way home from Florida we had one of the inside drive 2012 tires blow out

ten miles from home. We unhooked the toad and limped home at 2:00 am.

Eight new 315/80R 22.5 Michelin 3D XZE tires were delivered last Thursday.

One of the benefits of having a family in the truck tire business. The good

news bad news is I get to put them one myself. Here is a link to the tire

Friday Tom announces the new PC tire program. Talk about bad timing.

I think you guys will like this tire.

Might have some balancing powder (pixie dust) in the valve core. Give it a couple of shots of air, it might blow it off and re-seat the core.

Thanks for that bit of information!

I cannot get the Crestron to start it from inside so the fan will come on. It sound like the problem is of my own making. Without the fan it would always overheat in 30 min approximately. Who knew that but you?

Now if I can get control of the gen function by Crestron all should or could be fine?

We have a couple of members who tow or have towed Ram pickups, me included. I know of a couple who have towed the 2500 but they have never mentioned unusual tire wear. I towed a 1500 and never noticed any unusual wear from towing, but that truck was lighter than a 2500.
